I love the Sociable Pub. Best Burger in York Region! We have tried the ‘Bacon & Bleu’ burger which is my go to, Le Big Mack, the Brunny Burger and this weekend was the Loaded Baked Potato Burger special which did not disappoint! Great atmosphere, has live music most nights and great food.

Came to this restaurant for the first time with a friend and we both ordered different Burgers. Excellent Food and service. The burger and ground beef was fresh and very tasty. Home cut fries, you couldn’t have asked for anything better. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be visiting again.

After our second Sunday dinner there, I had to share my experience. My partner and I love coming here because of the cozy atmosphere, attentive, friendly service and the conistently great food. Drinks first, though. I love a good Caesar and they make a special one with bbq sauce, bacon and Screech rum. It’s pretty much an appetizer in itself. The sangria is also worth a try, he had the white sangria which managed to be refreshing and flavourful. We tried the scallops our first visit and just had to order them again, they’re that tasty. My partner had Le Big Mac burger and I had the Reuben sandwich. I wasn’t even hungry when we got there but couldn’t stop eating. He managed to finish his massive, two patty burger with a knife and fork. It was so tasty he kept eating even after being full. One day I’d like to be able to try desserts or their ½ price bottle of wine night — we just need to make sure we’re famished when we get there and perhaps try to eat slower! I’ll finish by expressing appreciation for the service. Different server both times, they were both attentive without being overly so and I always dig it when the server makes the drinks herself. We will be back!

Wow. The word pub has been redefined. The food here is better than 5 star restaurants in Toronto, and this is coming from a snobby Toronto foodie like myself, Been here twice and ordered over half the menu by now with my group, sharing all plates, and just cannot believe a low key pub in Newmarket is serving up the goods like this place is. If you are not going here on the regular, you are missing out. End of story.

One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. I’ve thought about it frequently since I went. Specifically the scallops which was one of those standout dishes you will remember for a long time(and compare other scallops to). Not only were they perfectly cooked but the accompanying corn and chorizo sauce was the absolute prefect compliment. I also tried the lobster frites which were nicely seasoned with generous amounts of lobster, but personally I want a fan of the fries themselves so I don’t know if I’d get it again. My dining companions raved about the mussels, beef tartar, the soup of the day, and the burger. The bread with the mussels was also particularly delicious if you ask me. The only flop was the crab fritters which were skimpy on Crab and heavy on batter. It was also a lot for an appetizer so we felt bad sending some back. In summary, If someone asks me for a dining suggestion in Newmarket I know where I’ll suggest!!!

We visited on a Sunday, after spending time relaxing at Chapters. What a lovely surprise this place is, great food(hubby had a burger, I had the lobster roll), service was awesome, drought was cold and clean tasting, I had a great martini(which has actually been somewhat elusive in the Newmarket area), the décor is beautiful but cozy too, and there is a great private dining room upstairs, that may be the location of our next event. I’ve given it 5 stars, it was as good as it gets. You can tell that everyone there takes pride in their work, from the chef to the bar staff.

This restaurant has a nice atmosphere, great menu and wonderful service. We came in for lunch to check out«the new place» and were very happy with what we found. We highly recommend Sociable Pub.

Went here on a Saturday for lunch. We were excited to try this new little gem but were unfortunately let down. Although full of customers, it was very quiet. Not much of a ‘sociable pub’. The food was decent. The service wasn’t that great. It was kind of a let down. Maybe they’re just ironing out the kinks… It is a great venue.

This pub was previously New Orleans, followed by Big Chris BBQ. It seems restaurants go in and out of this place fairly quick, but I can’t figure out why! The establishment is a beautiful home transformed into a restaurant which features high ceilings, amazing food options, and enough room for a live band. Because of the high ceilings, the music travels far and wide making this place very lively. The food served at the Sociable Pub is great! I came during a late night menu and still found yummy items to munch on. The french fries were actually really, really good. The sauce they serve it with is delicious! I had one of my friends sliders which had a cute sunny side up quail egg atop. It was too good. Next time I’d love to try the regular day menu and sample something with lobster, like the mac and cheese or lobster roll. I’d even give the fried clams or shrimp po-boy a go. The washrooms aren’t bad either. A bit small but they do their job. I don’t see a reason for a bathroom reno. Just as a little tip to the wise, always confirm what booze your getting when you order shots. It was a friends birthday and I ordered him a tequila thinking it would be sauna or jose cuervo. It was actually a $ 12 patron. Just be mindful of this since I thought I was looking at a $ 6 shot, max.
