Came here with my extended family from England. Really great atmosphere and really great food. One of the best boxties I’ve had. I had the steak & mushroom. My cousin from Englad said the Steak & mushroom stew was amazing. Great live music. Some of the décor and furniture was brought over from Ireland! I wish I lived closer this would be my go to pub.

This place was great! My husband and I stayed in Niagara Falls a few days and looked long and hard at the reviews here and on other sites for local fare. This pub was very decently priced and the food was really good. The atmosphere was that of a typical pub. The noise level wasn’t bad and when we were there it wasn’t overly busy. The staff was very nice and attentive. We would definitely go back and would recommend others to visit.

Blimey. I was hungry when I came here. My sister in law wanted to make a trip over to Niagara Falls during the Christmas break and it ended up occurring just after lunch mid-week. After Unilocaling, my wife came across this pub and I’m glad she did. I feel like it’s part of a chain of restaurants because I’ve seen their logo elsewhere in the GTA but I might be wrong. Anyways, first things first — great menu. I like going to a restaurant and having a challenge deciding on what to eat when many dishes draw my attention. Second, great ambience. This restaurant is attached to a hotel and had easily accessible restrooms. It’s décor makes me feel like I am in Dublin. Third, excellent service. The three of us were quite pleased with our waitress. Whether you are just peckish or abnormally hangry, I think that Doc’s is a great choice. It’s a bit away from the main resort and walking area, but it’s worth the drive.

This place really impressed my girl friend and I when we visited the Niagara area. Amongst all the tourist traps, this restaurant was truly a gem. My favorite dish was their trio. The presentation was fun and the portions were sized well. I would highly suggest you share appetizers b/c you would not have room for your main. I would definitely visit this place again when I make my next trip to Niagara.

Was eager to try this because we have limited options for Irish food in our home town, and the food did not disappoint! Only giving 4 stars for the lack of attention from the waitress. We got our drinks and our appetizer came quickly. But after our food arrived, she disappeared. Overall, I think the food was well worth it and would definitely visit again if we were in the area.

Good food. Seriously lacking service. Went here with four of us on a Saturday night. We ordered a trio of dips and crudités as an appetizer to share. The restaurant was busy but there were still open tables and no line ups at the door. The appetizer took 35 minutes to arrive. Our server apologized once for the delay and told us it was accidentally given to another table. Then when it finally showed up she put it down and said they were out of humus so our trio was now a duo and also they subbed out the tzatziki for a jalapeño dip… she didn’t check to see if this omission and then substitution was ok with us just expected it would be. I was hoping she might fix the so far negative experience with comping or at least discounting it but we were charged anyway with no care that it was late and not what we ordered. Our mains were two roast beef dinners, madras curry, and a chicken wrap. The roast beef dinners were good but the plating was inconsistent. One dinner had sauté onions and mushrooms, the other didn’t have any. One had gravy on the potatoes and on the yorkshire, the other only had a little on the potatoes. Inconsistent. The food taste was good and the beef was well roasted and lean. The curry was great. Medium heat level with good flavours. The chicken wrap was decent but with too many peppers per bite and not enough chicken. Fried were good. Overall, we might return because the food quality was very good and the prices didn’t break the bank but the customer service needs some work.

OMG! Freaking awesome. The food was extremely authentic. If you are Irish or like Irish food, you will definitely like this place. My husband had the fish and chips and I had the beef stew. Both were amazing. The staff is also wonderful. Very nice very accommodating. Stephanie with a Y; Awesome sauce. The manager even gave us the inside information on where the best cigars in town are. And I would highly recommend trying a flying monkey. To clarify, that it is a beer not a sex act. We are from Miami and I think that’s what it may refer to down there. Unilocal is telling me that this is only average length, but there is nothing else to say other then I kind of wanted to steal one of the chandeliers out of the bathroom. They were pretty. As a Miami native in Canada I have never felt like a bigger asshole in my life. These people are so nice I can’t even believe it. I might just not get on my flight tomorrow and stay here forever. If they let me. I kind of think they want me to go though.

At first we were craving for fish and chips, and found that this restaurant served it so we decided to try it out. The atmosphere here was great and the waitress who served us was super friendly! After looking into the menu there were so many options that seemed worth the try. I ended up getting Taste of Ireland which essentially had 3 cups of different but popular Irish dishes that are also sold as separate entrées. Out of the three I had to say that the curry was my favourite! I would definitely come back if I end up going to Niagara Falls again.

After we followed the billboards that advertised this Irish pub it is not close to the U.S. Border! We walked literally miles but it was so worth it! Denis the bartender went out of his way to make us comfortable. From muttling limes to go in with the crushed ice and rum for the most refresh g drink to calling is a cab to take us back to the border he was amazing! The food was spot on! Shepherds Pie had flavorful lamb and just the perfect crunch in the top of the potatoes. Beef and mushroom stew was are licking delicious. Of course we had to do dessert… traditional sticky pudding. A must stop for anyone that does not settle for chain restaurant food at the border !

We were lured in by the high Unilocal rating. I was excited and totally expecting a great experience. We were let down to say the least. To begin with a number of the items on the menu were no longer available. Kind of frustrating when you decide on something and then told its not available, and then you decide and again you are told its not available. Ordered a side of soda bread to try, was dry as powder. The layered potato cheddar and bacon bake(basically nachos with potato chips) was quite good. So was the roasted veggie boxty quesadilla. The baked beans were flavorless. My friend ordered the Taste of Ireland. She like most things, except the steak & mushroom pie which arrived cold. The do have a great beer selection. The food ended up being just ok. The service on the other hand was soooo slow in every aspect. To get out food, to get drinks. We were here for almost 2 hours eating dinner, and that was not by choice.

Beautiful pub, such interesting décor. My brother and I had a great lunch here. The service was excellent, and so were the food and drinks. He had The Taste of Ireland — shepherd’s pie, steak and mushroom pie, madras chicken curry. I had the lamb burger with freshly fried potato chips. A couple pints of Smithwicks went well with lunch. Can’t wait to come back to try more!

I am absolutely blown away by this place. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys the Irish experience. This is a place where everyone should try one another’s plates so as to not miss out on an opportunity to experience the authentic.

Authentic, friendly, and tasty! We were here during Canadian Thanksgiving, and what really sucked us in was that this place was doing a thanksgiving dinner. So we showed up around 7:00 on a Saturday evening — surprisingly quiet! Got seated right away at a high-top table near the bar, were attended to by a friendly and efficient waitress, and had a couple of drinks quickly. We had a couple slices of their toasted irish soda bread served with honey butter — delicious! Then came our garden salad(standard, but good), and our thanksgiving dinner — turkey, stuffing, etc. etc. All very good, but not what you’d be getting here on a regular basis. I will say that if I were here another day, I’d be back there trying their Irish sampler. All the food on the menu looked awesome. I wish I could try everything on it! Doc’s is pretty affordable for an area packed with over-priced touristy places like Margaritaville, Rainforest Café, etc. It was around $ 35 for two of us, all said and done. Also, a plus — they put on the New York Rangers game for me. Of course, they were playing Toronto, so that helped, but nonetheless was nice to watch my team in Canada! One last thing — around 8PM Doc’s got slammed! Not sure if everyone was just coming back from a day at the falls or that’s when everyone gets there. Definitely understand why it gets busy. Just because they advertise as «the only Irish pub in Niagara» doesn’t mean they settle for lower standards. Excellent.

My girlfriend and I tried this restaurant tonight, and both were very happy that we did! I researched good pubs to eat at in the Niagara Falls area, and this pub came up much more than others, and judging by my experience, and it seems many others’ experiences, this could arguably be the best pub in Niagara. The service was outstanding. Our waitress, Lianne, was very friendly and attentive, seeing to our every need and stopping over often to check on us. We also spotted her and the manager making rounds to other tables to chat, and the lady beside us seemed like she was a friend, or frequent visitor, so to see the staff put in such a strong effort and present us with a very friendly and welcoming experience made our dinner that much better. The atmosphere was also very welcoming. It was very warm(literally and figuratively), and the colour scheme was very English-pub: red walls and hardwood floors. It was very clean, very warm, and very welcoming. There was also these really neat antique bottles you find in the early 1900s, such as Hair Tonic and various elixirs, and those added even more character to an already great atmosphere. Finally, the food was great. My girlfriend had quesadillas, and I had chicken curry(which the menu was humorously happy to point out is actually an Irish dish), and they were both delicious, with the curry serving size being especially large. The prices for the food were great(similar in pricing to other, similar pubs), considering the portion sizes. Overall, it was a very clean, welcoming, and friendly atmosphere, and coupled with great food and prices, makes this a restaurant we will be eating at again soon.

Traditional Irish fare, served fresh as it comes, no freezers here. Top notch chef, friendliest servers and greeters. Clean washrooms. What more could a diner ask for?

Pub opened less than a week ago. The décor is amazing; nicest Irish pub I have seen. The food was delicious and the service excellent. To sum it up, I wish there was one of these in my home town. Highly recommend, and will return when back on Niagara Falls. Tip: Very family friendly.
