Close to the tourist area. Sketchy parking! The wifi worked well. We accidently booked a smoking room and when we checked in we asked to be moved to a non smoking and the attendant would not allow it even though they had rooms available. We walked into the room and everything was unplugged. Hair in the bathtub. Old school tv. Overall, dirty room and not a place I would go to again! If you’re looking for something to crash at after the bar scene that’s pretty cheap this is it. No elevators!

I booked this hotel as it was the closest to Niagara Falls, the Canadian side. The rates were quite low for such a prime spot, within walking distance of Victoria Avenue through the parking lot. BTW, Victoria Avenue leads you towards a main strip within one block which leads you to the ledge from which you can see all the main falls. Yet, despite this major plus, I felt a little disappointed in the fact that even this basic, Spartan, non frills hotel did not have a water boiling jar. On top of that, the ice that you can get you need to go to the counter and ask for bags. The staff was very gracious with the ice requests, as are all Canadians and yet, why need to show a face if you can get ice yourself from a public access ice machine? The rooms, the one which we requested was non smoking smell quite bad, perhaps bed comforters from a smoking era that still remained? You could smell the mustiness and some what washed out smell of smoke from the comforters as well as the carpet. Moreover the entire place needs a major make over. Too many items need fixing, due to wear and tear. If you looked around the room you could clearly see that this specific location needs to spend some $$$$ especially when you consider the alternatives and competition all around it. Finally, this is one of the few hotels that still have not gotten wireless internet connected. This is an essential for people traveling who need to access info, as it is expected in this day and age. When I drove around, I realized that too many worser places offered precious WIFI while this place did not. Finally, while we stayed there 2 nights, we did not have room staff prep the room for the second half. They did give us fresh towers, but I do believe that tidying a room up every day is something common or is this the reality of bargain bin hoteling? Pros: bargain bin pricing, great location. Cons: outdated facilities, lack of wifi, public access ice machine and quite worn out furniture.
