I went there today with my daughter and some of her friends and we had a really good time. The kids area is really well organized with a comfortable section for parents to sit and read while the gang plays along. There is a area designed for story time that recessed into the floor where children can sit and watch the reader in comfort. They have plenty of internet stations to browse and play games, a good selection of current magazines and books to your hearts content. I don’t come here often enough and I will try to change that as this library is still a important part of our community.

This is a on ok sized library but serving roughly 80,000 people it’s not that bad. There are lots of tables and slightly sprawling across the building. They have a small collection of multi media and lots of books though. The computers are a little slow. The book collection could be better but it’s got most of the usual suspects. I had a chance to see the Niagara Falls New York library though and that place is massive! I wish the Canadian counterpart was even half as large. If you need some quite time to work this isn’t a bad place to go. The neighbourhood can seems sketchy but honestly it’s not that bad.
