This place is so tacky but I can say the room was clean. We showed up and my wife said this place looks like it’s run by «Hillbillies». Great location to the falls, just seems like they are trying to run the place on the cheap!

The ritz is a quirky hodge podge of furniture and mirrors and pink walls. It’s VERY Niagara. We stayed in the suite with the hot tub. Our room was extremely clean and well maintained. It super accessible and close to the falls. Free wifi is a plus especially if you’re international. We are young people with a sense of humor and loved the fake fruit and that there was a clock with a photo of a nice couple on the wall. Best part was the bed which is the more comfortable than my bad at home. Great deal for a quick stay.

My friend and I stayed at this no-frills establishment this weekend. It was OK. :) I was looking for a hotel in the Niagara Falls area that wasn’t too far from the falls but didn’t cost too much. This fit the bill. We paid about $ 100/night. I’m not sure what the normal rate is; I booked through . The pros: Within walking distance to the main tourist areas if you’re in reasonably good physical shape and wear comfortable sneakers. We didn’t drive anywhere this weekend. We left the car at the hotel and walked all the way to the attractions at Clifton Hill and the Maid of the Mist with no trouble. The woman at the front desk was very pleasant and gave s a map of the area, pointing out all of the important sights. The room had a full-sized fridge, in case you need that. They had bottles of water in the room that you could buy. My instinct was no, because I don’t like to touch that kind of thing; they’re usually way overpriced. However, this water was only $ 1/bottle, and everywhere else was charging $ 3, so once we we realized that we put them in the fridge for a while and indulged. ;) There was also wifi included with the room, which was good because we set our phones to airplane mode to avoid the international fees. The cons: The décor is a little… weird? Our room had cinderblock walls and appeared to have a cinderblock ceiling. It was painted kind of a dusty purple color and there was a framed puzzle of some penguins over the bed. I’m not a snob, so I thought it was just kind of funny. ;) Some people might be bothered but I don’t require a lot of fancy touches. There is no central air; you have to use a wall unit to cool the room off. That’s fine but we tried to leave ours on while we were out and about for the day, and whoever came in to make up the bed turned it off. :/Was muggy when we got back. For the price, the location, and the friendly service, I’d stay here again if I was in the area. It didn’t have all the flash of the casinos and you couldn’t see the falls from the hotel, but I’d stay here again if I was in the area.
