The Mcdonalds of sushi. This was by far the saddest sushi that has ever entered my body. I’ve enjoyed better rolls bought from a mall kiosk… ONSALE! I seem angry because I am. Not only was I very sick that night but my taste buds had to endure the horrible punishment that I bestowed upon them by ordering from there. I ordered my favorite to start: calamari… The«server» asked me what that was and when I told her she laughed at me. The rice in my rolls was wet and dewy and ends of the fish were dried and tough. I picked more off than I ate. The miso tasted like the stuff you buy in packages at the grocery store and wasn’t even warm. And when I tried to get the servers attention to continue my order she pretended like she didn’t see me. I wish I could erase this from my memory but it made me appreciate the places we do have to eat elsewhere.

Major fail. I’ve been going here for a while now and have always had decent experiences, never really understood all the poor reviews. Until now. Last week I went in and it was terrible. Before leaving I offered some helpful feedback to the server to share with the management and still would have given the place one more chance. But the argument and excuses that I got back talked me out of it. I explained that I had been a fairly regular customer since the opened and that I was really disappointed with the experience and they were not interested. Only in telling me that’s how their business is… over and over and over. So I explained that I was just trying to help and was willing to give it another go but now I’m done. I won’t waste my time typing out my view on business owners that care more about their ego than their customers but if you wonder what it is, feel free to look up my review of The Why Coffee Shop in Niagara Falls, NY.

It’s not the worst. Nothing special though, and I’d never go out of my way to eat here.

Nice place, friendly staff, good food! Teriyaki is differently made in Canadian side from U.S. side, still tasty though. I prefer U.S. side because the platter comes with rice and veggies. Overall, nice Japanese place to eat.

This place deserve much more than its current 2.5 stars. It’s very clean, apparently newly renovated and staff is very friendly. We took sushi for takeout and we were very happy with our choice. They have an interesting pricing model with all rolls at the same price. You pick as many as you want and get them for a fixed price which get cheaper if you buy more. They have a very long menu with more choices than sushi but we can’t comment on those choices since we took only sushi. This is definitively a place to go regardless of the other 2 bad reviews which may simply have been bad luck.

Sogo sushi went under and Sukitei replaced it. This is our first time back since the change. Aside from the change in signage outside the building it’s the same inside. They did not pend a dime to clean/renovate the washrooms which need it. Clean up and repair the place 2⁄5 stars Now on the meal itself. Not great. Handrolls and sushi were fine, but we found the BBQ beef ribs to be chewy and the admame to be overcooked and grilled eggplant to be under cooked. The meal itself deserves 3⁄5 stars. Waited long periods of time for service as both servers seemed overly shy and did not want to approach the table to grab empty plates and I waited 15 minutes for tea refill and sat in front of empty plate for another 15 minutes before being asked if we wanted desert. Service 2⁄5 stars. We went there tonight because the other closed is under renovations. We should have drove the 15 minutes to St. Catharines. Last time for us.
