We decided to try this restaurant for breakfast. Its located in the old stone inn hotel. I had 2eggs, 2 slices of bacon, potatoes and white toast. Coffee to drink. This was part of a Groupon and the food was really good at a fair price with the Groupon. Our service was wonderful! She even killed a hornet that happened to fly in and landed on the window right where I was sitting.(I have a bee phobia.) Our server even explained currency exchange and informed me of where in the restaurant i could get a cup of coffee to go. A great experience(minus the hornet). The restaurant is nice, and very well kept. Good food, great service and a reasonable price.

We decided to start our Niagara adventure with our own hotel’s breakfast. We arrived around 10:30 and, even though breakfast is over at 11:00, Marilyn, our hostess and server, was extremely friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was empty so it was very quiet. We started our meal with coffee for myself and tea for my partner. The coffee was strong and I believe the Starbucks Pike Place blend. For food I ordered The Flour Mill breakfast with added rye toast, sausage, and bacon. My partner ordered the eggs benedict with potatoes… Because that’s how he rolls. When the food came I first noticed how big my bread was! It was so good and perfectly toasted as well! The potatoes were crispy, which we loved, as was the bacon. My eggs were cooked perfectly and well seasoned which doesn’t often happen. My partner’s eggs benedict was very good. The smoked pork added a sweet component and the hollandaise was rich and delicious. Marilyn was so nice and very helpful. The whole meal was good and it was a nice relaxing breakfast over all. If we didn’t want to try all the places we would definitely come back every morning!

Hate to be the 1* person but was so let down here. We came to the bar — which is beautiful but the service was shocking. Ignored by one guy(owner?) And had to go through the back to get service. The waitress didn’t apologise and was basically in a mood. Got our drinks and tried to pay the bill. No change was offered or returned so we left. Such a shame as this could be a perfect little bar :(

Worst dinner ever. Steak came ¼ think and they called it ribeye, more like pan fry. Bread came frozen in the middle. Ran out of items on a set menu so you had to eat what ever was left over. For 2 people you have to leave 18% gratuity when they only came to the table 2 twice. The only good thing that we had was the wine.

The main dining room is great. Very rustic and comfortable. We were seated in easy chairs. Our food was excellent and well prepared. The waitress was friendly and attentive. The bus help was quick to clear our plates. We were very pleased and would certainly come here again. Adder. just had breakfast and the French omelet was the best I have had. The breakfast potatoes were perfect. The breakfast starter was excellent.

Upside: — easy to find and not too far off the beaten trail but far enough to be away from the crowds — lots of parking — friendly hostess — very nice décor, sunny side room for breakfast, very cozy Downside — Food quality doesn’t match the setting or the price — Breakfast was just«ok» but could/should have been better — Breakfast potatoes were generic and cold — Eggs benny hollandaise was delicious but the english muffin was far from tender and not toasted, so not crispy. — Yogurt and fruit plate was ok, but yogurt was plain(although served with a drizzle of homey) and the fruit wasn’t seasonal, but still fresh. — Tea for two came in a pot with just enough water for a mug and three quarters. It seemed like a really nice little restaurant that has fired the chef and hired the manager from IHOP to run the kitchen. $ 45 before tip for 2 for breakfast and tea.

It’s a beautiful restaurant located in a beautiful building. The price on Unilocal is somewhat off — it should at least be $$$. My brother and I orderes french toast and short staack with coffee and it came up to +$ 40 plus tips. French toast was rather dry and pancakes were not so special. Had better food at numerous breakfast places. Service is nice. Overall, I wouldn’t go back for breakfast.

This seems to be a hidden gem! Located within the old stone inn is this beautifully decorated restaurant. We were there for breakfast and were the only patrons for most of the time. I had the French omelette which was arugula, tomato Gruyère cheese with breakfast potatoes. Everything was delicious. The breakfast potatoes were seasoned perfectly and had the perfect amount of crispness. I would definitely recommend.

I visited this restaurant on Sunday dinner. It was located inside of small hotel, spacey parking lot in front. Only one other table was occupied when we got there. Romantic and elegant general atmosphere just made me happy. Service was good and fast. We ordered a bottle of red to start but we were not happy with temperature of wine. If they want to consider themselves an upscale restaurant than they should leave all the bottles of wine in a temperature controlled room. Our wine tasted like it was stored next to the kitchen. It was very warm. We should have asked them to take it back. But because our server was so great, we decide to let it go. We got prix fixed menu($ 88/pp). Menu was good and ingredients were fresh. But taste wasn’t there. Homemade bread came out cold. I don’t like old bread. Mushroom soup was watery, bland even though they sprinkled some truffle oil on top of the soup. Mussels were okay but, bit fishy. Pickerel was good but taste was kinda bland. Just something was missing there. I feel unfortunate and bad to judge the restaurant with one visit, but my experience did not meet my expectations. Especially while I’m paying this much. Just didn’t work for my taste buds. I’m giving them 3 stars for excellent service and beautiful atmosphere. It doesn’t matter how romantic the venue is, the quality of food is important to me.

While staying in town we decided to use their offer of 7 $ for mussels ordered between 3 and 6pm. The restaurant looks really nice and classy however when we came in nobody really knew about the offer so we had to show them their own website. Since we just came to eat the mussels we were probably seen as not important customers(especially after we didn’t order the alcoholic beverages) We arrived 2.52 pm just 8 minutes earlier so we been offered to wait in the hotel lobby until waitress with check with chef if he is ready to start-) After he confirmed, looks like waitress wanted to feed us in the lobby –since she was really surprised when we asked to move to the restaurant. We insisted to be eating at the table(she and the bartender who was watching it, didn’t really like it and even made some jokes between them which I heard) After things been cleared about the offer we been served with wonderful fresh mussels and we enjoyed it very much. The only thing which was disturbing us all the time was the waitress(with orange nails and strange attitude) who was constantly running thru the completely empty restaurant(we were the only one there at that time) with lot of noise.(she did it at least 10 times) We felt very unwelcome and it seems like we were disturbing her with very important mission –to make illusion of hard work. We didn’t made it easy for her –by ordering second round of these wonderful mussels .yes.still for 7 bucks… Just to finalize: the food is great, the service is really bad. We wish the owner of this restaurant will not only spend on beautiful interior but also give appropriate training to the stuff.

Just had dinner at flour mill. The food and service was awesome. Well worth the money. The only complaint I have is they put the gratuity into the bill. I don’t like being told what I have to tip. I usually tip more then the standard and when I’m told what to tip that’s usually all they get. That being said, the food and service was so good I tip more then what was on the bill. I would recommend the flour mill to everyone. Enjoy!!!

My boyfriend told me he had planned a romantic weekend for me at Niagara on the lake, doing tastings. However, he has planned our dinner to be in Niagara Falls. Because I’ve been to Niagara Falls many times prior, my expectations were rather low. Usually the restaurants there all seem fairly generic. This did not end up being the case! We went to the beautiful restaurant, The Flour Mill. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, I knew things would be different. Their isn’t an inch of this newly renovated spot that just isn’t perfect. It has a very luxurious feel to it, very old time, but not cheaply done. They’ve thought of every detail. Our great dinner didn’t stop at the décor, either. The service was friendly and yet professional. The menu food was as deliciously beautiful to look at, as it was to eat! Honestly, we both agreed that it was the most tender and delicious filet steak either of us had ever had. The staff here, treated us wonderfully. At the end of our dinner, we asked to see a room in their hotel portion(because we’d obviously love to come back). The manger took the time to show us almost the entire place. We would highly recommend anyone going to the Niagara region to eat at this restaurant. It was worth every dollar. Eating there was more then dining, it was an experience we won’t forget. It’s the kind of establishment where you could do your entire romantic getaway trip there, without leaving the inn, and you wouldn’t be disappointed! I look forward to going back on my next trip to Niagara.

We had both dinner and then breakfast at this restaurant. When we came down from our room to the bar, we were one of a few couples sitting at the bar. Our bartender was named Kate, and she handled not only the bar, the but the lounge area as well. And as others trickled in as the night went on, she helped everyone with a personal touch that we were very impressed by. I had a few local beers and my wife had some house mojito, which she loved. They had specials on small plates which change all the time. We got a couple and they were so good we decided to stay for dinner. We then had mussels which are a house special and they do not disappoint. Then we had calamari, which was an enormous portion and very filling. But really the friendliness of the waitstaff is what kept us there for the evening. We returned for breakfast and it was amazing. I had a spin on eggs Benedict and my wife had an omelette. Both were great. The coffee was fresh and piping hot. All in all a great breakfast. However a bit on the expensive side. 45 dollars for two coffees and two breakfasts. Overall, very elegant dining. However you pay for that experience. But when on vacation well worth the money. I would recommend to anyone.

Went here for breakfast. Although it’s connected to the Old Mill Hotel, which I hated, this dining experience was quite good. Had the Pancakes and my friend had the waffles and we both enjoyed it. Service was also good. Be warned, it’s quite expensive for a breakfast for 2 ppl. Bill with coffee for two people was $ 45.

Adorable and charming setting. Excellent food and service. A bit pricey, but worth it. Everything in Niagara Falls is expensive anyway. I would highly recommend it.
