My husband and I stumbled upon this place for dinner on February 13th. It’s not super fancy inside but the food and service was amazing!!! We shared the artichoke Asiago dip appetizer which was delicious. For choice of entrée, I was torn between the mushroom ravioli or the lobster ravioli. Our waitress said they are both great but the mushroom is on the lighter side while lobster was heavier and creamier and meatier. I went with the lobster and had no regrets. It was a huge portion. 8 cheese stuffed ravioli about 3 inch diameter. He ordered the chicken florentine also delicious: saucy and meaty and large portion. The only thing that could have enhanced this dining experience would have been the dessert menu. There was no carrot cake or red velvet anything… Ended up ordering dessert from room service.

Nice place, great food. But the kids menu is very expensive compared to other place. In general will recommend the place.

We enjoyed dinner last night and as it was one of the few places open, we were happy to be there! I was very pleasantly surprised to see Gluten Free pizza on the menu and it was good! We had nice fresh salads and good pasta as well. The artichoke dip was very tasty. Service was a little slow.

We are going back home in Michigan but cannot leave without thanking«Coop» for taking such good care of us. she clearly enjoyed her work. She was knowledgeable she knew the menu very well and made wine selection easy since we are not well informed about wine. A good waitress can make a very good dinner great! Now let’s talk about the food. My wife and I can’t eat as much as we used to so we ordered tomato Parmesan soup and I had arugula salad with two kinds of beets with some radish thin sliced, both were very good, I know because we switched plates half way through. Oops! almost forgot, the dressing on the salad was very tasty not heavy or strong, just right. Then we shared the mushroom ravioli with mushroom sauce, it was excellent. We share because we want to save room for dessert. It wasn’t easy but we were happy we did. I had the three layer double chocolate layer cake and my wife had the apple pie/cobbler«Coop» will explain it and the others too. When we were finished we were full, tired and happy. To get out and walk off some of the calories, I dare say you will be too! Sorry to say we didn’t take pictures I guess we were too busy.

So great! The appetizers were amazing, we had the baked brie and the calamari. The entrees were delicious, lobster ravioli and mushroom ravioli, and the icewine was incredible! Our server was super sweet and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. Definitely try it!

I really liked that place. Although it was pretty crowded the staff was fast. We had a salad, a pizza and pasta. Everything was done at the point and they have some really good wine. Even after being done with our food they gave us the time to enjoy our drinks. There was no hurry to have us out of the place. It’s defenitely worth to go there.

Lunch time for the wife and I. For a starter we shared the dip. It had an ample amount and it was a good size for two. She had the vegetable ragu. There was a large amount of pasta and it was quite tasty. I had the Mediterranean pizza. The pizza was a good size for one and very good flavor wise.

Niagara-on-the-Lake is not as well restaurant-equipped as some theater towns, but this place was pretty good, and the service was fast and excellent: a notable plus when you have a curtain time. I had bouillabaisse, mostly mussels and possibly not any clams, though there were clam shells, plus two prawns and some salmon. Once I removed all the shells it wasn’t a very large bowl of soup, but they were good mussels and the broth was spicy and memorable, and there was much less grit than this dish often has.

My boyfriend and I wandered in for a Monday night dinner. The restaurant was busy but we were seated right away. It took us a few minutes to order but the food was worth the wait! Highlights for us included the French onion soup and mushroom ravioli, as well as our friendly server with Californian roots. Thanks for a tasty dinner!

I really enjoyed our experience here! The service was great. The waitress was knowledgeable and super friendly. The wine selection was good too! The seafood bouillabaisse was amazing. The flavor of the broth was very good. I would come back here again.

This would not have been my pick for lunch in Niagara-on-the-Lake, simply because I used to live there and am a huge foodie. IMO there are far more food centric places to eat, but I never mind trying something a little more casual with many crowd pleasing items on the menu. Friends of ours wanted to come back here for the Lobster Ravioli, so I was game. The décor could use some help. With a main street location in such a picturesque town I really think they missed the mark with the tacky carpet bag booths and benches. Some more interesting light fixtures and more of a romantic cavernous feel would make this place a whole lot more inviting. The menu was a tour of pizzas, pastas, sandwiches and other classics like mussels and french onion soup. I ordered the Potato and Bacon Pizza, which was okay. The crust was nice and thin, but not as crispy as I would have liked. My boyfriend had the reuben with fries. I liked how they put the sandwich in a panini press rendering the bread nice and crispy. The Lobster Ravioli was ok. I thought it would be Ravioli stuffed with Lobster, but it seemed to be cheese ravioli the lobster in the sauce. I think this would be a better bet for families or groups of older people who like a solid pub like meal with more of an upscale feel. But if there are many better places to spend your money in Niagara. Source them out because this place isn’t it and being on the main drag, the prices aren’t value oriented, either.

Unexpected gem! The mussels are beyond the average, with a wonderful tomato based sauce. The salmon and pork are on par too!

Food was decent, however the staff was awful. Nobody cared about the shitty service. The waitress did not make eye contact even once, no smiles or greetings. It was like they didn’t want us there. One of the most unfriendly places I’ve visited, and that too in the middle of the Shaw festival. Something is seriously wrong with this place and having seen some previous reviews, it seems to be persistently so. Wouldn’t recommend.

Just ok. We visited during the end of April when the tourist season is just starting up, and it was clear the restaurant was very understaffed. Only two servers were handling about 12 tables. It took us about 5 – 10 minutes to be seated even after we asked a server to seat us. Our server was pleasant but professed that he didn’t know much about beer or the restaurant’s beer selection. I asked him if anyone else in house could help me out because I enjoy trying Canadian beers while traveling there. The server said that no one else knew much either. Then why have beer on your menu if NOONE knows how to sell them? Anyways, I had the French onion soup(good) and a Caesar salad(expensive but was missing croutons when it was served to me). Tried a friend’s mushroom ravioli that was pretty decent. It’s unlikely that I’ll go back to this restaurant when I’m back in NOTL, but decent if you have to eat here because everything else is super full.

We stopped here based on recommendations from Unilocal offering a vegan option for us. The service was friendly and attentive. We ordered a hummus plate as an appetizer with pita bread that was very good. We also ordered a mixed green salad with beets(order the dressing on the side) and an amazing pasta dish with a vegetable ragu. We would definitely come back here!

one of the more reasonably priced eatery in downtown Niagara on the lake. Nothing too special about the décor or ambience, just an all-are-welcome, family friendly joint that’s open to everybody. we came here for an early dinner at around 5pm not expecting the place to be busy, but there were actually quite a few tables full. Food and service were nothing too out of the ordinary, but decent and generously portioned

I had been here before in its past incarnation as the Old Towne Restaurant, and even though the décor hasn’t been updated, the menu certainly has, and definitely for the better. We didn’t eat much, just some pizzas and a salad, but the pizza was excellent! Did I mention that the pizza was also gluten free? Loved it! Nice toppings, good sauce, properly cooked, overall a very nice experience. Definitely going to be back!

When I stepped into Bistro Six One, I wasn’t sure whether I was in a pub or a fine dining establishment. The walls and menu selection suggested one thing, but the chain-like upholstery and staff uniforms suggested another. My date and I wanted to to sit and eat at the bar, but there was no bartender. Luckily, things went uphill from there. We split a nice and fresh salad with mozzarella, cucumber, and tomatoes to start. I had a vegetarian pasta dish that was surprisingly tasty and filling as an entrée and my date had an incredible mushroom ravioli dish that was perfected by spinach, peas and truffle oil. The service was pretty friendly and I’ll leave it at that. I would stop at this place if you want a flavorful and hearty meal but not necessarily if you’re looking for the hottest spot in town. If I could, I’d give this three and a half stars but I’ll round up since it was a great end to our fall Niagara-on-the-Lake day.
