**My review is based on the restaurant and overall property appearance** I came here as part of a wine tour for the lunch. It was my first time here as I was visiting from NY. I was expecting a 5 star experience and as you can see from my number stars, I got what I came for! First you come up to this grandiose old world house with a healthy flourishing garden and a peaceful fountain. Everything was so proper & complete eye candy. Made me want to eat outside right there! Then you come enter the building. You come in an your initial point is the spa, very cool cos the area smells great on entering and there is a rad naked Egyptian mural on the wall, very funky! Go in to the right and time to dine in a place decorated simple but makes you feel at home in this town. Décor reflects the overall town, with wine bottles and old art work. I especially liked this yellow painting of a horned man playing a flute on yellow. Meal was everything it was promised to be. Really really happy, can’t say no more. I actually hate cheesecake and that was the dessert. They went out of the way to get me ice cream, what a godsend! I ate my friends leftovers and they were great too! I’d also like to mention I did notice the staff is they hired are very beautiful Canadian people, with great personalities/genuine. I’m happy and will recommend to friends! Please check this out, treat yourself and skip the junk food in town!

Absolutely wonderful. Amazing burger, and wine. The cheese cake was ga and the soup was great as well. Not really a family friendly place. Like someone started before, there are no changing stations in the bathrooms. We had our 1 year old with us and one of the older people were giving us bad looks. However, great staff that were kind to the baby. The service was great and I didn’t have a problem with how fast the food came out. I would rather have my food correct and amazing than fast. If I was to recommend a place to eat to friends or family that were in the area, this would be the place.

Was in on the 5th April’16 with family whilst on holiday for lunch. On the positive side, the food was excellent and if the rating was solely on our meal I would not have hesitated giving them 5⁄5. However on the negative side I thought the service initially very slow, I took some time to get our drinks and then they forgot one, there was only 4 of us so not a large order. The biggest disappointment was the lack of baby change facilities that would make me say this place is not family friendly. I can not remember the last time I have been in a restaurant that didn’t have a minimum the pull down baby changing unit on the disabled WC wall. To make matters worse was the advice to change my son on the bathroom floor.

Service is excellent, good-quality spa services as well, and the in-house restaurant was simply divine in décor, service and food! My only qualm is that the room we were in was ridiculously small. For what we were paying for, I was surprised we didn’t get more space.

Beautiful! The hotel is beautifully located right on the water. The rooms are lovely and the beds, sheets and pillows are AMAZING! Had an incredible sleep here and work up to a view of the lake. I will recommend this place to friends taking a trip to Niagara on the Lake.

Love this place! So quaint and comfy. Came here for a relaxing retreat. The room was great, bed super comfy. Love the patio with view of the Niagara. The first day there was a rowdy group making all sorts of noise. Was napping after spa treatments and they woke me up. Sounded like I was in a pub not a spa resort! No blame to the hotel… just rude guests. Went down to dinner that evening and who was there? The large group of loud mouths.great. The hostess was so nice. She set up a table in the spa area away from all the noise and we had a lovely private dinner in the spa… perfect! Food was great. Staff very nice and accommodating. Love the setting surrounded by gardens and views of the river… will definitely come again.

We enjoyed our stay here… the room was quite nice and the bed was extremely comfortable. But I’m far less impressed with the spa. Total amateur hour. Hubby and I both had one of the laziest, least skilled massages we’ve ever had. So: yay for the inn, nay for the spa. One more tip: although we’ve never eaten at Oban, if you stay here you’d be a fool not to have supper at the outstanding Stone Road Grill(aka Rest)…it’s about a 5-minute drive from the Oban and is our favourite spot in NOTL.

This is a 3.5 star rating. The hotel itself is very nice and befitting of the price you pay. However, the sense I get is a hotel that is trying to be fancy. Considering the restaurant is supposed to be good for dinner, the breakfast was mediocre at best. Processed cheese and cheap processed meat on a silver platter. Not to mention bread that resembles enriched processed sandwich bread. The frozen prepackaged croissants were edible. The room’s air conditioner also had a blocked thermostat that didnt go below a certain setting. It was hot at night in August. The room service is expensive and pedestrian, but the bed was comfortable.

Paradise! We stayed here a few nights in February, we love traveling off-season to avoid the crowds, this place was heaven. The room, the restaurant and hands down the best wine tour ever, this place has a lot to offer. The location is ideal to not only enjoy the village but Niagara’s wine country. We hit up many, many wineries and the guide that hotel uses, Denis, is brilliant. We will stay here again just to hang out with Denis, his knowledge and passion for the region and wine in general, his friendly persona, it was one of the best wine tours we have ever taken. This place is paradise.
