Homely quaint little book store. Once you step in, it was like a throwback to the good old days when things were more simple. Old Niagara Bookshop is located on one of the streets just off Queen St. There are a lot of older books which were well preserved. I also found some paper doll books! I couldn’t believe it was still in pristine shape. There was also a thick old art book which caught my attention as it was…$ 300+! Had to look twice there. In general, I did find the prices a little on the high side. The shopkeeper did not acknowledge us at all, nor looked up from what she was doing at her desk/cashier area. I know we should support smaller businesses but the shopkeeper made it hard to support this one.

There is another write-up of this bookstore at its last location of 233 King Street just around the corner(literally), but this business relocated to its current larger site at 223 Regent Street in July 2011.
