I was here two years ago and again this weekend. They were able to accommodate our group of 12 with no reservation, but had to split us into two tables. We were hungry so we were fine with that. Menu is Italian inspired. They have a wood burning fireplace thing to make pizzas which were really good and had a good variety of combinations. I had the Chardonnay Pizza and I loved it. They bring bed without and vinegar to the table. Portions are generous. Cocktails we had were pretty decent too. The most convenient thing was we could walk to the restaurant from the place we rented!

It was getting late, and most of the restaurants were closed. We decided to come to this restaurant. We were greeted with a friendly waitress, but she told us that they were only serving pizza for the night because the oven was broken, but it was getting late so we have no problem just eating pizzas and salads. –1 star We ordered a cheap bottle of wine to start, but we only served with normal cheap wine glasses, not like some of the pictures that someone posted. Maybe the wine was«cheap» or maybe there was a child at our table? Who knows… –1 star Lets put the wine and the glasses aside, the pizzas were not spectacular, so no bias here. I had better ones in Toronto area with the same price range before. The salads were«very» fresh. However, one of the salad had nuts in it, the nuts tasted like«bad oil» taste to it. Overall, I don’t think I will go back again. If I am in the same area again, I would end my activities earlier and go somewhere for dinner instead…

Stopped in here one Saturday night before heading back to Toronto. We were looking for a good dinner spot, but not too pricey. This place looked ok. Upon arriving they had a complimentary valet service. A nice gesture, but I don’t like being forced to hand my keys over to anyone. No issues though. Once inside, the staff were super friendly and accommodating to the fact we had a 5 month old with us. For dinner I had the Caesar salad followed by the gargonzola gnocchi. My wife had the house Saad followed by a custom vegan dish comprised of linguini, tomato sauce and a mix of mushrooms. We also had some wine and pelligrino. Overall: — service was excellent. — food was well priced — atmosphere was busy and lively — BUT, the food wasn’t the greatest. I found pasta to be a bit too salty and just average. A great experience, but with so much selection in the niagara region we probably won’t be back.

Have driven by many times and the industrial style building was a turn-off. My B & B host recommended it when seeking a Sunday night eatery and said it offered a varied menu and good value. Correct on all counts. Excellent Coyote’s Run Pinot Noir… not cheap but then Ontario wines do tend to be expensive when seeking quality. Returned here again … four adults and two kids. It was a cold, snowy Sunday so the place was quiet mid-afternoon. Service was attentive and child friendly by the delightful waitress Melissa! Excellent starter salads followed by super thin crust tasty pizzas. Well worth skipping the main area of N-o-L to eat here, just a few minutes drive. Adequate parking, outdoor patio for the summer and cosy inside for less clement weather. My Crème Brûlée desert was super Yummy! Good wine, good food… great family lunch!

A solid place for pizza /Italian /Mediterranean in Niagara-on-the-Lake. A good sized group of us went here after a winery tour over at Inniskillin winery and generally had no complaints. The majority of us ordered pizza(myself included) and it was your standard wood fired oven pie, which is usually a good thing. Seriously, I find it pretty hard to mess up pizza from a wood burning oven(unless you burn it) but then again, when it comes to pizza I’m incredibly easy to please. Even bad pizza is usually(usually) pretty good and this was certainly quite fine. The place is strangely located and not very well marked(I think everyone missed the turn) which is sort of odd considering how big it is… oh well. Despite its size it’s the type of place that you figure will usually be packed on a summer evening, as was the case when we were there. Service was okay but not particularly fantastic. Like I said, it was busy but that’s no excuse. Other than good suggestions for pairing wine with our food(which should be a given at a place in wine country!) nothing really stood out. We waited a lot longer than we should have and there really wasn’t much personality. Will consider going back next time I’m in Niagara but not a place I would deem essential to your excursion.

Nice place. Pizza was good but too cheesy for my liking. Glad we stopped here though. Very friendly staff.

We decided to try this restaurant on a whim and made reservations. My first tip that this restaurant was ill equiped was that there isn’t remotely enough parking. We had to park in a city lot and cross a busy street. They couldn’t find our reservation but luckily it wasn’t at capacity. The waiter started off friendly and knowledgable about his wines. We ordered a nice blended wine whose name now eludes me. We ordered our appetizers and entres at the same time. We recieved the appetizers in a fair amount of time. My wife and I shared the antipasto platter. She enjoyed it but I wasn’t a fan. After we finished our appetizers we sat there for an hour and a half waiting for our main course. We didn’t order anything that should require a significant amount of time. Just veal and chicken. Our waiter intentionally avoided our table. We’re not arrogant or pretenious people. We polished our bottle of wine after an hour and sat there for 30 minutes. The waiter or any staff never came to explain or apologize for the delay, bring us more bread or even let us order more to drink. When some random manager brought us our food out we politely asked for it to be put in a container and for our cheque. The mood and enjoyment of the evening was gone. I cant write a review on the food because I didnt eat it hot. I can forgive a delay in food coming out, that happens in the best kitchens but I can’t forgive the extremely poor customer service.

This restaurant is very nice inside out. The service is great. Everything that we order was delicious. We have salad, pizza, spaghetti and trout fish. It’s worth a try in Niagra on The Lake!

We have wanted to try this place for a while and got reservations. It’s very quaint with the butcher paper on the tables. The pizza and dessert chefs are kind of out in the open, and so you can watch them ply their trade which is fun without adding too much noise. The ambiance is nice with soft lighting and quiet music. Service was very friendly and good, but, as many others have mentioned, *slow*. I’m talking done-with-your-dinner-trying-desperately-to-catch-the-server’s-eye-and-get-the-plates-cleared-for-30-minutes slow. It’s not the end of the world, but be prepared. They have a full bar and a pretty good wine/beer selection. Wine glass pours are available in 5 or 9 oz. pours(which is funny for a metric country). The wine glass pour menu is relatively limited, but solid, and almost all local. We got a spicy lobster with cheese ravioli which was delicious. It was from a special menu. I got the veal parmesan, which was fried to perfection and had delicious cheese on top, and came with like 1.5 lbs of pasta. Abby got the linguini with shrimp and clams. It had a garlic cream sauce that was amazing. She said the shrimp were done just right. Hers also had a lot of pasta. Once we finally got the friendly waitress to clear our plates, we got a chocolate raspberry brownie with ice-cream, strawberries, and fudge and raspberry sauce drizzled all over it. It was to die for. Bottom line: food was great, service was friendly but slow. Wine and food were a little pricey, but good quality.

We tried this place for dinner on the recommendation of our hosts at the B&B we were staying at. Nice casual restaurant in an old restored winery building with outdoor deck seating and a wine lounge. We chose the wine lounge because we didn’t have reservations for the dining room and were seated right away. Even though this place specializes in wood-oven pizzas, we were in the mood for something else. I had the grilled black tiger shrimp skewers(very fresh) with citrus glaze on a bed of greens and the hubby had the veal parmigiana with spaghetti in pomodoro sauce, paired with a local red wine which I can’t remember(not that it wasn’t good, mind you. It’s just that after a tour of the local wineries, all of the wine we drank that day was just a blur). Our dinners also included Italian bread with olive oil. Both the food and the service were fine. Luckily, it happened to be a Thursday evening, one of the nights when the Old Winery features live local entertainment in their wine lounge. That night, it was two guys with a guitar and a percussion set singing classic rock favorites, although I can’t remember the name of the group, either(all that wine, ya know). The hubby wasn’t too impressed with the singer’s guitar playing, but I guess I’m easier to please. He even took requests and did what I thought was a nice rendition of «In My Life.» All in all, a pretty nice place. We’ll probably visit it again next time we’re in the area.

Casual and nice restaurant. I went for late lunch around 3pm in weekday, there were only one table occupied with 1 server. We ordered The gamy pizza(sausage, spinach, mushrooms and truffle oil $ 16) and lamb burger with Greek salad($ 13). Service was very slow even though restaurant was empty. Food was delicious but wasn’t best. I didn’t like slow and inefficient service.

This place is warm and casual for a winter dinner inside or drinks on the patio in the summer. They make out of this world thin crust pizzas and have a nice selection of wines on the list. My favourite was the Stratus Wildass white with the Truffle pizza. Service was decent and the prices weren’t as crazy as some other places in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
