Came here in a group of 4 with the Peller Estates Wine Country Touring pass(sold for $ 20 online, also associated with Trius and 30 Bench). We had a very pleasant experience with the wine tasting here. The area has a very nice small town feel, and we found street parking easily. We arrived a little after 6pm. There was a very friendly woman who helped us with our tasting. She was very sweet and welcoming and we enjoyed easy banter with her. She told us that the standard tasting is 3 wines: the Wayne Gretsky white, red, and another wine that I forget. My friend all enjoyed the Wayne Gretsky wines, although my husband asked for something a little more oaky and bolder, more in the style of Bordeaux wines. She took out a Thirty Bench red for him to try that he very much enjoyed. Our friends all tried this as their third wine as well. I am not a big red/white wine drinker, so I asked if I could have a tasting of just one or two ice wines instead(since ice wine was not originally included, and ice wine is more expensive than regular wine). She very kindly accommodated me and allowed me to try the Wayne Gretsky Vidal ice wine as well as a Cabermet franc ice wine. Both were very good. She was also very generous with her pours. She did not push us to buy anything, although my friends did buy two bottles. I would happily come back here again!

We had a wine country touring pass from our hotel. It appears all three are owned by Peller estates. This one is just a retail store in downtown Niagara-on-the lake. The wine tasting offered by this pass was fixed but they do offer you some flexibility because the staff was friendly. You can pay and then pick up your wine later if you don’t want to carry them while you are in town.

I love this place. Every time I come to niagara on the lake I always go for the ice wine tasting. If you are ever in toronto or niagara, you must come here!

As others have said, this is a nice wine shop with friendly staff. I had a nice 5 wine sample tasting and ended up buying 2 of the Gretzky Estate bottles and several of the ice wine jelly jars. I’ve only drank one of the bottles of the Gretzky and highly recommend decanting the bottle as it needed to mellow out and settle. The area of town that this store is located is great for wandering around and shopping/browsing. Hopefully you can come during the summer as I am sure the winters are brutal in this area. Cheers!

Did a quick tasting of some wines here while the wife watched the kids on the play ground a block down the road. Place is a bit more upscale but still made me feel welcome in my jeans and transformers t-shirt. Tasted some Wayne Gretzky Estate wines, along with a Pellar. The deal is $ 7 to taste 3 wines and then that $ 7 can be applied to a bottle if you decide to purchase. Wines I tasted were all delicious. Nothing like drinking fresh, local, small production wines. Also got a bottle of Baco Noir, one of my favorite wines that is unique to the area. If you up in the area and don’t have time to go to the wineries surrounding, this place can help get your fill of some local flavor right on the main strip.

My husband and I had planned on doing a structured wine tour this afternoon. But we were enjoying exploring Fort George so much that we decided to stay there. We stopped in at Wine Country Vintners on Queen Street this afternoon. We are wine club members(we receive two bottles of wine from Peller Estates every month) so our tastings were free. Linda gave us samples of a bubbly, a sauvignon, a riesling and finally an ice wine riesling. The ice wine riesling was yummy … but expensive! We bought a couple bottles of Ice Cuvée. The first New Years Eve Gord and I spent together back in 2008 he brought a bottle of this wine so it’s been«our» wine. We haven’t had it in a while. We also bought some funky new champagne flutes. Since it’s our anniversary, we thought it would be nice to have«our» bubbly to celebrate.

A nice wine shop with a nice selection of local wines including the famous Niagara Ice Wine. Prices are kind of high, yet all wine and liquor in Canada is high so kind of hard to compare. Prices are high to low. meaning different ranges. So something for everyone. Service was friendly & gracious.
