Vancouver Island Espresso Express

I take the ferries abit, not a lot. I usually try to get my coffee before hand at star bucks or Timmys. I hate the jacked up prices of the ferries.
This lil place is a tiny gem tucked away at the foot passengers terminal. I really like that it’s clean, simple and very streamlined. The prices are competitive for a ferry terminal and the coffee is actually pretty darn good. I know a bit about the expresso machines and theirs is a great one. But again a lot of it depends on the barista’s hands.
They also serve some decent meals to go.
If you happen to be stuck without energy and wanting a boost, this is definitely the place to grab a bite and some liquid energy!!!

Yes. You heard me right… $ 2.50 for a single shot 8oz Americano. $ 3.50 for a latte/​cappuccino. Extra 0.50 for a second shot.
It’s not great coffee by any standards but when you’re used to paying triple the price at the ferries, finding a gem that serves up caffeinated life support for less then you’d pay for gas station brew is downright magical. MAGICAL.
Plus, the lady manning the place is sweet as sugar.
I’m throwing it in the three star because… well, it’s 3 star worthy coffee but i’m jumping up and down with love for these prices. You have no other options at the ferry, so isn’t it nice that they don’t jack up the fare? Remember that and tip them heartily!
