Andrews on 8th has coffee by Moja Coffee roasters and some baked goods from Delish gluten free. This alone is enough incentive for a revisit. Add to this a sweet space, outside seating on the sunny side of the street and a West Vancouver location. Winning combination. I’d compare the café style to Finches Market Café in Strathcona /Chinatown. Both are worth a visit and a return.

Fave coffee house on the North Shore. Great local feel, delicious coffee, yummy baked goods. Small, so get there early for best seating.

The coffee and the sweets here are good. Are they extraordinary? No. But there is community charm in this place. People are enjoying the conversations they are having with their company. People are reading the newspaper. I love the sense of community I feel when I visit!

I saw this reviewed on the front page of Unilocal on October 20, 2015 and decided to book mark this for future reference. Down to earth café in North Van that is more about a wide variety of seats in a welcoming environment more than it is trying to be something that is not in the scene which is why I appreciate this place. Decent tea latte, fair prices and awesome customer service.

I’ve been looking for a place like this in North Vancouver for a long time. A coffee shop that really celebrates the North Shore. There are a number of old pictures and art work inspired by north van that it gives a real sense of history and community you don’t find very often. We only had a few cups of coffee which were delicious, but the food looked fantastic. It’s very clean inside and appears newly renovated. The side of the building still has the old blue paint job from decades ago that matches one of the old pics inside(I hope they keep it that way, it was really cool). I’m looking forward to going back and trying some of their sandwiches and baked goods :).

Great neighbourhood stop. Feels small town friendly. Recently learned of some of the community support the owners do and I’m even more impressed. I’ve had Americanos that are great and unfortunately their pastries are also too tasty. A short walk off Lonsdale but nice little spot I tripped across and would want others to find

Cute café in North Van, off the beaten track. serving Moja coffee, my fav local roaster right now. Unfortunately the almond milk is sweetened, and when I asked for liquid whipping cream for my drip coffee, I was pointed to the cream(½&1/2) instead.

Good food but bad coffee. Stick to a hot chocolate or a cold drink. The food is really good, especially their pies. Service is no big deal, could be a bit more friendly and patient with people with kids, considering the fact that it seems kid friendly with a fish, children’s books and a few toys. Nice outdoor area for warm days and those with dogs. Nice neighborhood feel place but open only until 5 — even 6 would be better so we could enjoy going as a whole family.

Cute place out of nowhere. I don’t go to north vancouver very often, but I was happy to stumble upon this café in a residential area. Staff are friendly. My order was completed wrong, but they gladly fixed it with no extra charge. Very reasonable for breakfast sandwich, which is what we had. $ 4.50 for breakfast sandwich on bagel/croissant(consists of egg, spinach, bacon, and cheese). I’ll go back if I’m ever in the area.

I grew up with this building being the run down corner store all the kids ran to to get their 5 cent candy and juicy wax sticks in the summer heat. Driving by, the blue faded monstrosity always made me reminisce… then suddenly Andrew’s appeared. The owner who bought the building and restored it, keeping all its quaint touches has done a wonderful job. Gone is my blue memory, but the place still feels antique and just as charming. He/She obviously cares about coffee as well. They serve quality brew, and tea, and the home baked goods, while traditional, are done well. The sitting area outside is beautiful, and relaxing outside with your latte and a chocolate ganache tart, just for a moment makes you forget that Starbucks and other cheap commercial franchises we must live with, never existed… A perfect moment in time.

A lovely neighbourhood café. The owners have done a really nice job in renovating this heritage building. The café has a nice selection of delicious panini sandwiches. We enjoyed the grilled cheese(a blend of Brie and cheddar), the Smoked Chicken and the Pulled Pork Paninis. All were very tasty. The coffee was excellent and the service was friendly. We sat outside and after our lunch we took our 3 little ones across the street to run in the park. We’ll definitely be back. One suggestion … it would be nice to see a child sized sandwich offered at a lesser price. The grilled cheese was tasty, but far too big for our kids. In hindsight we should have ordered one and divided it.
