Went on a Thursday am. Waited 20 mins for a table for 3. Had the black stone Benny. Good but nothing extraordinary. The potato bread it was served on was horribly bland, lacking even salt and pepper.

Food was good but expensive and Small. place is not that big so you feel the pressure that they want you to leave as soon as you’re done.

This is my new favourite breakfast/brunch joint in the Northshore. My favourite so far is the El Paella fried rice, but I’ll have to try something different on my next visit. The place is cozy and a bit small, and you might have to wait a bit for a table. If so, just grab a coffee/tea from the coffee shop a couple doors down(same ownership) while you wait.

I’ve been here twice now for breakfast and both times have been perfect! There were 3 of us and we arrived at 8 am on a Saturday. We got a table right away and coffee was offered, which we all in dire need of!!! I went with the eggs Benny again because of that fabulous bread pudding instead of the traditional English muffin. My companions ordered the banana nut pancakes and burrito. They both said their selections were beyond yummy! Even with the small location, I think it only seats about 15 people, we never felt rushed. We will be back!!!

Very lucky and grateful to have this awesome breakfast joint in the neighborhood. The atmosphere deserves credit for its warmth and coziness. The service was very considerate, friendly and informative. Plus helpful, since our group had someone with Celiac’s disease and the server went through the menu line by line, plus options. I really enjoyed the food and coffee as well. One of party stated that the Huevos Rancheros was the best she’s ever had.

What a gem. I was reluctant to write this review because I actually wanted to keep it to myself but the Mrs insisted. Warm and friendly service followed by imho the best breakfast in greater Vancouver. Quality food made with love. Had the huevos rancheros which was better than any of the other ones I’ve had and the macadamia nut pancakes were simply heavenly. Can’t wait to go back.

This place was a gem find! We were in the area overnight for our anniversary, and so this morning I quickly Unilocal’ed a good breakfast place. I wanted a sure fire hit as I don’t normally get to eat restaurant breakfasts… this place exceeded my expectations! I had the Huevos Rancheros and the hubs had Pulled Pork Pancakes. What a treat! The food was some of the freshest, creative, tastiest food I’ve had. The service was very attentive. My only slightest complaint was the tables were a liiiittle tight together(felt like we were eavesdropping on our neighbouring table) but not even worth a lesser rating than 5 stars :) Glad to have found a new favourite and can’t wait to come back and try more menu items.

I was about to go downtown Vancouver and have brunch but then I found this place. The brunch was amazing, I had the Buddha breakfast. The staff were really nice and friendly. They provided us with everything that we requested. The place is just a bit small so on a busy day you might have to wait a bit but it’s worth the food you are about to eat. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Very impressed! Food selection is fantastic, very hard to choose — and it is always a good sign:) I had a burrito and it is really delicious. Would love to come back for pancakes and eggs… and more! Really impressed with this cozy tiny place in North Vancouver — it was worth waking up at 6am and drive up here :)

Just finished my first visit and really enjoyed it! We were greeted right away, I ordered the beautiful Buddhist and it was absolutely delicious. Service was awesome, the atmosphere is pretty nice, and the food is great. I’ll definitely be back to try the pulled pork pancakes!

Just back from my second visit to Blvd Bistro, and it was fantastic. I ordered the Steak and Eggs breakfast which consisted of two eggs, hash browns, and a rare cut of flat iron steak. I can honestly say that the staff at Blvd Bistro knows how to grill a damn fine steak; it was hot and bloody, unlike the«rare» steaks at other places that are actually med-rare. The eggs were done perfectly, fully cooked whites with hot, runny yolks and the hash browns were large chunks of potato cooked to a lovely golden colour. The portion sizes are just right — I left feeling good(not stuffed like a turkey) and definitely didn’t feel hungry. If you’re looking for«food coma» quantity, you’re better off at Denny’s. One of things that particularly impresses me about the food here is the total lack of need for salt or pepper on any of it. The chefs here make any need for those things obsolete(though, the eclectic shakers they have are pretty cool). The food is perfect as is — but if you want ketchup and HP Sauce, they’ll get it for you. The restaurant isn’t huge, but at no point did I ever feel a lack of privacy, or that the people at the table next to us were practically sitting in our laps. The smaller size of the restaurant is perfect — each plate coming out of the kitchen gets the attention it deserves which isn’t possible at a larger establishment. The décor is beautiful and simple. Lots of real wood with a refined rustic feel to it that is immediately comfortable and welcoming. For a relatively new place, Blvd Bistro feels like it’s been there for years as the go-to breakfast and brunch place. As to price, it’s so reasonable it makes you wonder how they manage to charge what feels like so little for such high quality food. Taxes in(and before tip), my meal of steak, eggs, hash browns and a coffee was $ 19.95. I’d have paid $ 10 more and not complained a bit, and given the quality, this is one heck of a good deal. The staff are great — considering this was only my second visit, the lovely woman serving us remembered that I like steak done rare and that I’m a coffee fiend, how awesome is that? The owner came to say thank you for coming in and checked to see that we were completely satisfied with our lunch(we were contemplating cigarettes, and neither us of smoke — so yeah, we were pretty darn satisfied). Go here, order anything — you’ll love it.

Holy disappointing Batman!!! Nice to have a local place for breakfast. Sadly, there are a few concerns. 1. Small. Seems to have more tables outside than in. A bar against one wall to squeeze more seats in. 2. Small portions. I order the Benedict and was quite hungry after it. Not the place to come if you are hungry 3. Expensive. That’s it. A lot of money for not a lot of food. Give it a try to support local restaurants but be aware it could be better. Cheers.

Very nice place for breakfast. I had the steak and eggs breakfast. Did you know that a breakfast can out do regular steakhouses? When they ask me how well I wanted my steak cooked, they are the only place that gets it right and they are just a breakfast/lunch joint. The other breakfast dishes looks good too but I was enjoying my perfectly done breakfast steak too much to care. This restaurant is a bit on the small side, we had 6 people and they don’t take reservations so we waited around for 45 minutes on a long weekend. For 2 to 4 people, I am pretty sure you *should* get a table in about 15 minutes.

Discovered this place in Unilocal — went here for brunch on a weekday, great service and amazing food. Menu was creative but still had a home style feel, without being pretentious. Philly hash was delicious. Worth checking out.

Fantastic. I am happy to say I have found a spot to have a really great brunch on the north shore! The chef obviously puts heart and soul into the food. Even the radish garnish was grown in the local community garden! The eggs Benedict was game changing, served on a savory potato bread pudding, it really has ruined the traditional English muffin for me. I am posting a pic of the«mean green Benedict» that unfortunately doesn’t do it justice due to the top down angle. Trust me, it’s even better in person! I am looking forward to coming back. Highly recommended, for both the service and the food !

Tried this for the first time today for Sunday brunch. We will return there are so many things to try. We had the beautiful Buddhist and a Benedict. They were both great… the savoury bread pudding is very savoury. Nice little neighbourhood spot with a very well presented meal and very tasty. I’m going back for the banana pancakes!
