This little park is beautiful. Lots of free parking if you can find one on a busy sunny summers day. I love coming here on the weekdays when its not busy. Grab a coffee from Honeys and walk around. The views of the water and mountains are breathtaking. It’s a hidden gem in the north shore.

Feels like the place at the end of the world… It has a nice resort feel to it too. Pleasant stroll on Gallant avenue, don’t forget to taste the famous doughnuts. Kayaking there is nice as well as the hike to the rock, up and down up and down, some even run there…

Best kept secret, no riff raff here, boys and girls ;) It’s still considered quiet during the busy summer months and have its own bbq firepits so first come, first serve. Amazing view naturally, and some kayak action for people watching. Washrooms near the rental centre so no problem if you’re having a great picnic. Just a short walk from the restaurants above. Parking of course can be challenging. Simply an amazing view just driving here to the village before the park.

Deep Cove Park is in a nice, small community, about 20 minutes from downtown Vancouver. Although not very big, it does have a few blocks of shops and restaurants, along with a nice park and marina. You feel like you are far away from the hustle and bustle of Vancouver, but it is close enough for a place to get away for a few hours.

This place is a breath of fresh air. On Vancouver’s north shore, and way out at its eastern end is a residential hamlet called Deep Cove. The exit is off the Trans Canada(1) and you then take a highway /major road for about 15 minutes until you end up here. The park itself is nothing much. It’s small and sloped toward the water, where there is a small marina and houses on the water. Mostly, you are here to take in the view, savor the quiet, and the street which finally turns down toward Deep Cove itself, Gallant Avenue, has places to get coffee and a pastry … or a slice of pizza. Basically, it’s a hidden respite in greater Vancouver.

A small hilly park covered with mostly grass with a nice view of the waterfront. The beach at the park is quite rocky, so it isn’t the best for making sandcastles. There are picnic tables, walking trails and kayak rentals. Swimming is not recommended at the beach because sewage is sometimes released from the boats at the Marina. It’s a busy park during the summer months, so you have to arrive early to find a parking spot.
