I really appreciate Kevin’s expertise with the Vancouver rental market. He’s given me a lot of valuable advice and help me set my expectations and goals with a property that I’ve inherited.
The way I saw it, I could sell the property or use it to generate passive income for me and my family for years to come. After much deliberation, my fam and I decided it’s in our best interest to keep the property. But I really didn’t know the first thing about managing a rental residence and my brother lives in Calgary and wouldn’t be able to take on the project.
Without much experience with managing a rental property, I had a thousand questions. Kevin at Rethink patiently educated me about all the possible highs and lows with managing a property and has really helped me make informed decisions.
I grew up in a very asian family where penny pinching is regarded as a virtue. I thought I could do this on my own. But after dealing with a tenant who wouldn’t take me seriously when I issued them a notice for end of tenancy (long story), the benefits of using a professional company was crystal clear. At the end of the day, I decided Kevin’s full management fee is worth it since my family and I would make a good amount of income from the majority of the rent anyway and I wouldn’t have to stress out about placing and managing tenants!
