* New Malaysian/Thai — needs some work * I spotted this new Malaysian/Thai restaurant, and the lunch menu was primarily Malaysian. I started off with the roti canai. It was very flaky, and nicely done. It could have been slightly better drained from the oil, and perhaps fried for about 30 more seconds, but it was good. The curry dipping sauce had all of the right flavours and was very pleasant. Good rendition overall. Photos: and The char kway teow was a disappointment. It lacked flavour. It didn’t have any Chinese sausage, no green onions, no noticeable belachan, no noticeable chili, and no wok hei. It did have lettuce on top(not sure why) — which was wilted. It was bland, greasy, and subpar overall. Photo: I could swear I heard Cantonese being spoken in the kitchen. Hm… Anyhoo, I don’t think I’ll be coming back anytime soon.
