Horrible service! I came in to the butcher shop and was ignored, then the lady helped someone else when I was standing in line forever. I won’t go in here again and I would advise it to others. Plus the quality of the food is poor, I won’t buy it ever again ! Gross !!

Love this place! They always have the best quality steaks and they’re prices are great! We got 2 top sirloin steaks for under $ 12.00, they were so juicy and tender. We will never go back to getting steaks from a chain grocery store for lower quality and the same price. Their meat pies and sausages are delicious as well! Definitely going to keep coming back! You gotta try here!

Absolutely love this place. The staff are wonderful and friendly — and were extremely helpful when I was trying to determine how big a Christmas turkey I could fit in my oven. This place has the best pasties I’ve had outside of the UK(on par with ones from the quay in Poole, Dorset — and those were really amazing). I also like to indulge in the many varieties of cookies and sweets you can’t find anywhere else — particularly the jammie dodgers. It does cost a bit more to buy here, but the quality of product and service are worth every penny.

Fantastic small little shop with fresh pot pies, sausage rolls and meats. My favorite Jacobs UNO bars are here, so hard to find, a little pricier than online but a wonderful treat. My favorite jelly tots available in a large size, plus Heinz soups as well but also a little pricey. Found a couple deals in the clearance section, spagettios for a buck though, They have Canadian perogies which I will have to try next time.

A really good selection of Irish, Scottish, and Brit foods, both traditional and of the frankenfood-nostalgic variety. My mother has been coming here for the little mini chipolata pork sausages to bake around our thanksgiving turkey since I was a kid, and I will continue on that tradition as well, as they are perfect little morsels… even when they slightly overcook they taste like bacon. They have great gammon, black pudding, and a variety of homemade sausages(their Moroccan and lamb varieties are dry but very flavourful!), their steak vindaloo and steak n Guinness pies are great to pick up for a meal paired with an arugula salad and a really great dark ale. I also love their square-shaped Scottish Lorne sausage, its a yummy idea for a big Sunday breakfast. I also recommend their frozen ready to cook burger patties… they are totally different than you might expect, as they are less minced and have more texture. My favorite is the steak and bacon. After all, if you are buying here you have put your diet in a corner somewhere on a time-out. For those missing UK style candy and other nasty little sweet“treats”, you won’t be disappointed by their selection of biscuits, canned custard, heinz beans, puddings, and soups, as well as crisps and jaffa cakes, powdered gravies, and sugared fruits… all the things your grandmother lost her teeth for, and made you so full of sugargoofballs that you forcibly dressed up the neighbours cat. Poor Mr. Whiskers.

If you love bangers/sausages, THISISTHEPLACE! They have so many flavors but my absolute favorite is the pork & maple. My girlfriend’s is the English breakfast sausage(she claims it’s the best she’s EVER had — and she’s from the UK)! Their prices for their British goods are steep, but then again it’s steep anywhere you go in the Lower Mainland since they have to import it. Love their black pudding as well — really awesome. For those people who’ve had horrible black pudding elsewhere, this place is outstanding!

Great selection of UK imported groceries and candies — but the draw for me are the meat pies and sausages! Fairly priced and chock full of tasty meat and gravy! Steak Vindaloo was curry-tastic! Can’t wait to try more. They are opening up another location in West Van soon. If you ever need beef suet, blood sausage, or haggis… they have that too.

Cumberland sausages and gammon bacon. Save on Foods now makes«bangers» and they’re not bad. The sausages here are better. Heinz baked beans!!! Don’t eat any of the North American variety of baked bean permutations, they are disgusting and goopy compared to these. Black pudding anyone!!! I wish this place was closer to me.

Very good sausages, although the selection has been whittled down. Walker’s lamb and mint crisps! But very often out of stock, unfortunately. Plenty of English sweets and other things but at a price. I liked the old location a couple of doors up the road, it had more character. Since they moved I haven’t visited as much but when I’m in the area I pop in to get some Cumberland sossies and stare forlornly at where the lamb and mint crisps should be.

If you are familiar with England and all of the wonderful goodies that come from there then this shop will be your final destination. I have been to other shops that have Walkers Crisps and the occasional Curly Wurly but this shop has everything. Boxes of Ready Brek and proper tonic water for Gin & Tonic’s(those of you from the UK will know what I’m going on about), Galaxy Minstrels, Irn Bru, Walnut Whips, Horlicks, Bewley’s Tea, Barry’s Tea… oh my god I could go on forever. Oh wait, don’t forget Jaffa Cakes and Jammie Dodgers! Anyway, besides the fact that they have all of the packaged goodies that made the UK home for me they also have an amazingly fresh and yummy selection of meats(hence the name butcher shoppe) along with meat pies. I purchased a mince pie and it was beautiful. The crust was perfectly short and the filling was nicly spicy with not too much gravy. Seriously, I could sit here and type for days about my love for this place but I think I’ve gotten my point across. It was a bit pricey but when you consider how much it must cost them to import all of that stuff I feel that it is worth it.
