Decided to support a local business in my area by getting something dry cleaned and a pair of pants altered at Aziz’s about a year ago. Had a very unpleasant experience — my dry cleaning wasn’t ready until a week after the promised date. The pants that I got hemmed were done at a great price, however the stitches came loose in the middle of a work day, about a month after I had gotten them altered. I went back to Aziz’s to see their response to the poor quality of their work. I was told by Aziz himself that these types of alterations weren’t meant to last long, and he attempted to dismiss me. I was shocked at his claim that his stitches in the hem of a pair of pants weren’t expected to last more than a month, and after a bit of arguing he fixed my pants acting like he was doing me a huge favour. Those stitches also came loose after a short amount of time, and I had to get them fixed elsewhere. Very disappointing. Spend a few extra bucks elsewhere if you want your alterations to last more than a month.

After being contacted by the owner, I was offered credit for my previously horrendous experiences. In total i was given roughly 30% the value of my lost articles including those damaged items. The first test went alright, a new pos system tracks things better, but I have yet to see about ongoing consistency. I had taken a pair of light colored pants in for the second test, one was clean and the other had minor dirt remaining(it was able come out with some rubbing alcohol). So I guess you still get what you pay for here. The owner was clearly upset that I wouldn’t remove my previous review, and I had opted to post an update to show marked improvement.

Should have realized that when I went here to drop off a pair of jeans for a simple Hem that the two customers in front complained about their stuff they had dropped off the previous week(s) was still not ready, I should have turned around and walked out. This place is one of the cheapest around so I figured I was gonna test’em out with a not so brand new pair of jeans. Wouldn’t you know it, I went there to pick it up a day after the promised expected completion date and it still wasn’t ready. Then the dude claimed he couldn’t find them(the place is a mess). And when he did, he realized I was pretty pissed, did the hem on the spot. took about 5 minutes. It was ok. but definitely a case of you get what you pay for.
