Eyes On Sheppard

I had been to this office a couple times before with both my children and was very pleased, however after my most recent experience I will not be going back. As i was rushing to get to my daughters appointment running a few minutes behind. I was thoughtful and called the office to let them know we were on our way and we were running a bit late. Upon my arrival, being 10 minutes late, I apologized, was checking in and asked to sit and wait. After 5 minutes the receptionist asked me if we could reschedule as the doctors next appointment was there. (I didn’t see anyone else in the waiting room? or they might have already started their appointment?) I then asked if we could wait and be seen after, and that I didn’t mind waiting for a while even up to an hour. She said no thats not how it works as then they will be behind all day. I left saying I would not be rescheduling. I felt as If i was being reprimanded for being 10 minutes late. I was upset because the receptionist could have explained this to me when I first called to say I would be late. She then asked me to sit down for 5 minutes more and THEN decided to tell me this??? This office needs to explain to their patients what their RULES are!!!

I get thoughtful and thorough care from Dr. Kerry Salsberg. I don’t mind paying a bit extra (if that’s even the case) for tests using state of the art equipment. I’ve never been pushed to purchase glasses here. The staff is friendly and efficient.

This place is all about sales and marketing. The customer service is just a bit too smooth, they hired a technician guy to do preliminary tests on your eyes while you wait to see the optometrist, and they have state-​of –the-​art/​unnecessary instrumentation. That’s probably why they charge premium pricing for their services, and charge you extra for retina scans that you don’t really need (and don’t ask your permission to do the exam either). I felt the optometrist did a thorough job with my exam overall, but the extra charges and push to buy frames from their store was a bit much. Not coming back.
