The prices are decent and the shop is clean and nice. The first time I came here I was so disappointed! I spent $ 90 on a straight hair perm and after washing my hair with the shampoo I bought from his salon (an extra $ 40) my hair was crazy frizzy and still curly!!! I went back and told him and he said to give it some time blah blah blah. It was like I paid to get my hair damaged. For some reason, I had hope and decided to give him another chance and just get a basic hair cut. Joseph seems to enjoy free styling my haircuts (cutting more than I asked, thinning out my hair, giving me layers) usually i just ask for a 2 inch trim and it becomes a disaster. Never coming here again.

I think Joseph is losing his touch…
He ruined my hair just recently. I’m a man and I told him a trim. I’ve told him this time and time again and he always seemed to understand, but this time he didn’t. He cut unevenly, way too much off, just awful. I don’t think I will be going to him ever again. I feel compelled to ask for my money back actually because it feels like a scam to pay him to ruin my hair.
Nevertheless, I would prefer to spend more somewhere else rather than stay here. We had a good run, Joseph. Farewell.

Jospeh is awesome. I almost never make an appointment and he is always able to get me in the chair. He’s speedy and gives me a good hair cut. I’ve been going to him for over 3 years and we have gotten to start talking about personal things as many people do. Next time I went back I wasn’t expecting him to remember but he remembered exactly where our conversation ended and picked up from there — 2 months later. That deserves 5 stars.

Oh Joseph give me beauty to my hair!
Embarrassingly due to lack of time, my last hair cut was February 2010, I’m overdue for a cut, thankfully having my extended family to recommend Joseph Salon. Joseph is the owner of this salon as he styled, trimmed and coutured my mom, and three of my aunties hair while his assistant Tai cut and styled mine. The hair washing stations are very comfortable and staff warmly offered espresso for our party of three. Joseph were accomodating to our needs of an early bird appointment at 8am on a Saturday morning, the salon resides on the upper level of Parkway Forest Plaza.
Tai was rather slow to curl my hair as she gathered small clumps rather than big clumps in the curling iron. I always have my hair cut in layers which was not many visible, yet little did Tai know my hair history for my forsaken bangs. Gone were those days of bangs (as seen in my profile photo) which painfully grew to obstruct my visibility. Joseph Salon is clean and well maintained.
