I have been to this kiosk twice in the last month… once to buy a watch, and the second time to exchange it, as I just didn’t feel as love with the first one as I had hoped. The staff was helpful,(though one of the girls said I couldn’t exchange it, when I could). But it was one gal who was there both times, her name was Sioban(spelling) who seemed to really engage with her customers above and beyond. I felt her to be especially helpful and knowledgeable, and thought it was neat that she exited the kiosk and walked around to give me my bag and say thank you. Great customer service from her, I noticed and appreciated it!

My experience with Swatch was similar enough in terms of initiative, to the earlier review on this store. I had to take the initiative. They would not have done it for me. I saw a watch I liked(advertised online) but Swatch(Yorkdale) were sold out. They did not go above and beyond and try and order it for me. I got home, had to send an e-mail to the Swatch Group and a very nice woman there found one in Quebec and had it sent to the Yorkdale Swatch store. I had to take the initiative. I thought that was the role of sales people. I got what I wanted(i.e. the limited edition watch) only because I looked for it myself(just took sending one e-mail to Swatch Group). Why does the customer have to run around? Customer service also includes trying to find an item for a customer if one is not available at that location(especially in this day and age of electronic messaging/e-mails, etc). The person at the kiosk was polite. But of course I had done all the leg work for them.

A lonely kiosk in a high-traffic corridor, this Swatch store houses an impressive arra of extremely popular-priced, near-disposable watches. Styles are cute; I’m a fan of any automatic watch that doesn’t run a few hundred dollars. Service ranges from unhelpful to non-existent. A question about water-resistence yielded a blank stare. A request to open the case so that I could, you know, SEE the watch that I wanted to buy was dismissed. Apparently the«girl who had the key thing» had gone off, and I should come back later. Of course, by the time I came back the mall would only be open for another half-hour, but the shop was closing up so I should come back tomorrow. Silly me, wanting to actually purchase something.
