Cleanliness and service leave a lot to be desired. Staff training is poor. One would expect trained baristas at a coffee establishment. Coffee in urns is never hot and coffee is weak. Soup sometimes is not hot; food orders missed.

What a wonderful cozy place with lots of outdoor seating too. I had the organic turkey cranberry wrap which was amazing. Turkey was really tasty and I liked that it wasn’t a huge wrap but just perfect size. I love that most of their stuff is free trade, organic and just plain good for you AND delicious! GO, you won’t be disappointed. Service is not the fastest but it’s well worth waiting for!

This café is unique, educational, artsy, and has a refreshing selection of organic coffee, tea, vegan and gluten-free baked goods, soups, and sandwiches. I enjoyed an organic yerba maté tea with almond milk, a delicious roasted red pepper and artichoke(gluten-free) sandwich with vegan cream cheese, and a few other treats. Nice to know there is occasional live music and CJ is a great lady! More people(especially vegans and vegetarians) need to know about this place! Organic & fair trade coffee, tea and lattes, vegan-friendly, vegetarian-friendly, gluten-free-friendly, lactose-intolerant-friendly, and very artist friendly! Great café!

*2.5 star review* This place is a cute neighbourhood spot with a large patio(too bad it was cold and rainy the day I went). I found it a bit odd that their sale sign and coffee beans blocks their view from customers coming into the café — you have to walk past it to see the barista and menu. They offer a number of breakfast & lunch items, which unfortunately I didn’t try since I was heading to dinner afterwards. I had their latte which was ok. I have to admit that I’m used to microfoam so I was disappointed when I had a large layer of airy bubbles on top of my latte. I also found the espresso wasn’t very strong. They also offer Numi and yerba mate teas. There’s artwork on the wall for sale as well as mugs, jewellery(kinda random…), coffee beans, etc. They have a number of community event postings all over the café and the washroom. So if you’re in the washroom and would like to read something(just sayin’) you can read up on them or the benefits of yerba mate tea(they have a framed list in the washroom…).
