We had the steak snd mushroom pie and the Shepard’s pie. Both were obviously microwaved, food was hot in some places and cold in others. Salad had too much dressing and the beer on tap was not cold enough ugh… won’t be back.

My boyfriend and I went in for brunch on a Sunday, there were maybe 6 tables already seated. I ordered the daily omelette and my boyfriend ordered the crunch sandwich. It took about 25 minutes for our food to arrive. Looking around I noticed that there was one server and probably one cook considering how long the food took. My omelette appeared slipped together with minimal vegetables and cheese. They were not even mixed into the egg at all. Very unappetizing. The crunch sandwich was mediocre and cold, but it was eaten because of the long wait. We were not checked on until the end, and we had to wave down the manager. I explained the situation and she was very nice about it. However, she did ask if we wanted to wrap up the omelette and«try to rectify it at home.» LOL Not going back for breakfast. I’ll stick to Tim Hortons thanks.

Came in with our kids and my in-laws for dinner on Friday night(6:45pm — Dec 19th), promptly got seated on the bar side and then NOTHING. Not a single waitress looked at us, but 2 – 3 of them were all around us; serving drinks, delivering Bills, checking in with other tables — but not a word to us! We decided on drinks, our food choices and still NOTHING… Continued trying to look at the waitresses to no avail… Got the Hostess who sat us and mentioned that no one had yet come. She apologized and said she would inquire… After 3 more long minutes we decided to get up and leave. The Hostess returned and asked why… we again politely mentioned that no one had even looked at us for 15+ minutes. She apologized again and again but did not go get the manager or anything… so we left. BRUTAL!

Had kronenburg blanc and stella because I couldn’t get my first choice(s) — Friday night and they’re out of beers? Apparently it’s a common theme here. Fish&chips seemed formed — I was expecting properly-battered fish, not fish sticks.

Came in for Lunch on a Saturday. Plenty of friendly and helpful staff. Enjoyed a delicious Club Sandwich and French Onion Soup. The place was clean, and the beer was tasty.

Went a couple times since opening. Restaurant experience: still pretty hard to order food and get it within an acceptable amount of time. You’ll have to put that down to untrained staff and therefore, management. Bar experience: not any better. I met with a friend here last Friday night. Our waitress introduced herself and the conversation went as such: Friend: Do you have Kronenbourg? Waitress: No! Friend: … Waitress: … Friend: …well this is awkward. Me: What DO you ha… Waitress: I’ll go get you a cocktail menu then. She wasn’t being short with us or anything like that. She just didn’t know what they offered. And when glasses were close to empty, she asked one person and not the other if they’d like another. Another buddy joined us and the same thing occurred. Cute, but untrained. This will grow tired quickly, especially with the families and more mature crowd that have the actual money to spend. Live band was quite good with songs from the 90’s and up. As we were seated directly beside them, they were quite loud, but that’s just science. This place is definitely a bar on a Friday night and as such, quite filled with the youngsters out for some drinks. Orange golf-shirted security were soon on the scene. When did this start, by the way?! When did we get to a point where we couldn’t go to a pub without stuffing a pint glass in someone’s face? I digress. In a nutshell: It’s a chain and it shows. It’s also in a strip mall with Wendel Clark’s(sports bar /restaurant) and a Turtle Jack’s(restaurant/bar with flat screens throughout) that is RIGHT next door. It isn’t a quaint little pub as the name would imply. I’ll stick with an actual pub that is across the street.
