I wrote off St. Hubert in Ottawa, after my last experience at the St. Laurent location. I decided to give it another try and this location was so much better! Back was the delicious coleslaw I remember, and tender chicken. The service was fantastic and the décor was much nicer than I expected. I will absolutely come back for my chicken fix!

This location of St Hubert has revamped it’s menu, and restaurant. The coleslaw is still the best available. I also love the chicken Poutine. Avoid ordering delivery with fries at all costs, the fries do not travel well, and become useless soggy greasy sponges. Aside from soggy delivery fries, I have always enjoyed dining in for better quality.

Tried this place again. Chicken over cooked, over priced and very small portions. The waitress was great though.

I never ever thought I would be writing a rave review for St Hubert — of all places! It has never been one my favourite restaurants at all in the past! They have long been advertising«plumper chicken» and for me that meant they left the fat on the chicken then cooked it. Gross! There is nothing like chomping down on chicken fat, cooked or raw. Eww! But now they have revamped their menu as well as the décor, and I must say they have raised the bar on themselves and surpassed it! Well done, St Hubert! First of all, I must admit that I have never been to the St Joseph Blvd location before today. But as crowded as it was, the service was fabulous today. The wait staff was very attentive without hovering over us(even though they were all fairly on the young side). The food was great — the waitress even described it well, declaring which dishes were spicy or not. And I also have to admit that I do love their cole slaw –both the creamy one and the vinegary one. My friend and I ordered the sweet potato fries as an appetizer; we were both pleasantly surprised at how tasty they were! The dipping sauce was NOT as spicy as we thought it might be. For our main course, we both got the chicken with Spanish rice and vegetables(she got white meat and I got dark meat). The rice was spicy enough to make my nose run! The veggies were only ok. I do love yellow and red peppers! And then to round off the celebration, we each had desert: she had the strawberry shortcake, and I had the chocolate lava volcano. Awesome to the last drop! We are both very full. And very impressed with our meals! Today’s experience most certainly invites another visit! Very pleasant, indeed!
