This is our most frequent dinner date spot, not only because the food is fantastic, but the service is great. The waiters/​waitresses and hosts/​hostess’ are all super friendly and welcoming. Many options for your burgers, including gluten free and different kinds of meat (beef, chicken, elk, veggie…). And to top it off, the Works has the BEST milkshakes.

The works is over priced! Don’t go there if you want just a regular burger with cheese, any tomato etc… Five guys it better!

When you walk in this place kind of makes you feel like you’re in Disneyland or Vegas. The décor is wild and sometimes obnoxious, but the food is great! Over 72 unique burgers to choose from, with many of them being Vegan and Vegetarian!
I had the Growler-​5-​O burger which had caramelized onion, old cheddar cheese, bacon, and a fresh elk patty. The flavours were great and the «hotter than hell» sauce was tasty, although not nearly as hot as the waiter suggested.
If you’re looking for a quick lunch spot that won’t disappoint in flavour then The Works should be your go to burger joint.
Only complaint is a lack of decent beers on tap. But that seems to be a common trend in the Ottawa area.

My Ottawonian (?) cousins bring me here every time I visit, and I have yet to be disappointed.
I’ve been here both as a vegetarian and as an omnivore, and had mouthgasmic experiences both times. The menu is disturbingly long, but that just means that there is tons of room for experimentation, and little for disappointment. There are different meat options (beef, turkey, chicken, ELK!), and veggie friends can choose a veggie patty or a portobello mushroom cap. Mmm. They also have the option of a gluten-​free bun, but it’s quite crumbly and tasteless. Choose your side dish wisely — you can be lame and go with those… steamed vegetable… things, or complete the meal with some deep-​fried goodness. The sweet potato fries and spicy chips are deelish.
The topping possibilities are endless. Drinks are served in measuring cups. Service is awesome. Enjoy, friends!

I love The Works.
They have a large selections of burger with plenty of customization (toppings & patties).
The restaurant as a industrial theme & look.
The prices are reasonable.
The only note is that I find the new menu a bit uninspired and that fruits of their new salad come from a can.

I love The Works! It is a place that I will bring out of towners who have never been. I have never had a bad meal here — only a really bad full tummy ache after :-). Their milkshakes are great, burgers fantastic and their sides are delicious! What I really like about the Orleans location is that it doesn’t get super busy like the ones in Westboro or Glebe. I’ve never had to wait for a table!
