The Vape Store in Oshawa is my favourite vape store in all of Durham. The staff there has always treated me in a friendly manner and they have an amazing juice selection.

Where do I start? Well first off I have been going to this store for a year now and it was great when the owners actually worked in the shop. The selection was OK and the prices a little high but I enjoyed shopping there. Recently(the last 6 months or so?) the shop is populated by a selection of young folks who seem to think their job is to sit(and I do stress the sit as they rarely stand up to greet you) around chatting with customers about how awesome their current MOD is and outdo each other with the size of their vape clouds. What before was a basic set-up, not beautiful but organised, clean and functional, has changed. Very much for the worse. As you approach the front door the first thing you notice are the filthy windows. The vapour residue is so thick on the inside you cannot not even see what horrors await. Upon entering, the surly smile challenged staff seem to size you up in an attempt to discern how much of a bother you are going to be. Bottles of juice lie all over the place with no apparent meaning which does help distract you from the unwashed floors. Not a pleasant experience at all. But it gets worse. Just for background I should tell you that; One, I spend probably $ 100.00 a month at this store and; Two, I had recently purchased 2 Kanger 0.5OHM coils @ around $ 4.00/ea and one of them had defective threads making it unusable. My Last EVER visit went like this; I picked a juice(Apple Snaxx by Breakfast Club, which is delicious BTW) and went up to the seated and uninterested dude behind the counter defective coil in hand. I explained that I had no receipt but that I had bought it previously and was hoping he could help me out. He immediately told me, with no apology that I had purchased it at «my own risk» and he could not help me. I was miffed but all I said was«Well that does not seem fair. But OK.» In my mind I was thinking seriously about my loyalty to this store and how that policy is going to have a huge impact to it but I was not going to engage further on this subject knowing it would be futile. That is when things escalated. The bleach blond girl who was sitting at the cash and ready to take my money had to add her two cents. «Ya.», she said with no empathy, «Sometimes I get a whole box of duds». I proceeded to explain how unusual I find it that they don’t stand behind their product and that it should not be my problem. She just had to add, «Well, I am sorry you feel that way.», and every customers favourites, «That is the rules» and«You can talk to the owners if you like.» I explained again that really I am just looking for some vindication to my feelings and a «Sorry» would suffice. I added if they keep wanting to get the last word that I was going to get upset. Now at this point I want to remind anyone reading this that when they first told me their policy of «It’s your risk» I was willing to quietly accept it. But NO they just kept making it worse. The final straws were; The still seated young bearded dude piped in with«You have to understand the coils are massed produced and some are going to be defective.» and then when I said, «I am really not sure I will shop here any more and I have been a long time customer.» the blonde chick said AND I QUOTE«I am OK with that.» End of story and end of my patronage.

Shaun not only knows the ins and outs of the products he sells, he knows his customers. When I walk through the door I am always greeted by name and he knows what I am looking for. Whenever I can, I make sure I tell people to check him out!
