Employees are rude and not very helpful. Open and there when I need it but it’s just meh… its Walmart

It’s a Wal-Mart, so you get what you expect. Prices are cheap and they will price match competitor’s flyers and online prices. The quality is hit and miss in most departments, for example fruit often isn’t great but the vegetables are fine. Although there are numerous shopping carts it’s hard to find one that doesn’t have a squeaky while or rattles every time you push! They must have had a job-lot of poorly made carts delivered. Bottom line, I shop here often due to the prices and variety.

Wish they were open 24 hours everyday I like how they price match but when the customer infront of you price matches every thing… it’s pain in the ass. I priced matched the other day for the first time and it was nice.

Out of all grocery retailers, Walmart is at the bottom of my list. This particular Walmart is cluttered and messy overall. The staff is hit and miss. Sometimes you’ll get a really nice cashier or associate out on the floor, but most times they seem to view customers as the enemy. I can understand how some of them get worn out with many of the low class shoppers that Walmart seems to attract like flies these days(I’m thinking of the idiots who feel shelves are for their empty coffee cups), but if I’m being polite and genial, why can’t they return the favour? Try finding an associate on the floor to help you at the Laval Street location. You’ll likely have to set up a net snare to grab one, since they all tend to run away when you look as if you’re going to approach them for assistance. Don’t get me started on the self-serve checkouts at this location. If you’re lucky enough to be there when the checkouts are actually open, you’re liable to find that the cashier looking after that area is lazy and unfriendly. I went there with ten cases of spring water and asked the cashier if she could use the handheld scanner to scan them into the register. She said she couldn’t and that I would have to scan each one individually. I told her I’d take it to a regular register and they’d do it there. She argued with me that they’ll have to scan each one at those registers too, or else it will«screw up the inventory». I told her I’d see about that and take my chances. She sort of sneered at me and went back to her perch to lean and do nothing again. Sure enough, when I got to a regular cashier(after wasting time waiting in line), the new cashier took her handheld scanner and scanned the barcode on one of them. That was all that was necessary! I then brought up the issue with one of their teeny-bopper customer service«managers» and was politely dismissed. I have a call in to the store’s general manager and we’ll see how he handles it. How he does will determine whether I bother with Walmart anymore.

Sometimes I have trouble finding someone to help me and on busy days it’s a little messy. Love the express lane and the self-checkout options. My biggest complaint is that I can never find a basket!
