Avalon Bed & Breakfast

The owner of Avalon B&B, Christine, was very welcoming and friendly from the minute I walked in. The house itself was incredibly beautiful and well-​maintained. I stayed in two rooms during my visit, the Van Gogh and the Pewter, and both were great. The Van Gogh was the perfect size for one person and I even had access to a small fridge just outside my room. The Pewter was probably better suited for two people, as it was much more roomy and featured a massive bed, but it was still fine for just me! Both mattresses were comfortable and I slept well each night.
I stayed for 4 nights and breakfast was delicious every morning! The meals included things like eggs benedict, whole wheat berry pancakes, almond french toast, omelettes, hash browns, and of course lots of fruit and bacon! I was always given more than enough food, and when I couldn’t finish it, Christine was happy to let me take the rest for lunch.
Christine’s dinner recommendations were within walking distance from the B&B and were spot on in terms of food taste, quality and price.
Staying at Avalon B&B was a great experience!

Was very pleased with my stay at Avalon. Christine is a gracious host and great cook. The room was spacious and clean and great location. Easy walk to the central part of town and close to bus stops for easy access to other areas. Did a fair amount of walking and the location of this B&B was just perfect. Would recommend this spot to anyone visiting Ottawa, not only for the location but also for the exceptional food served.
