Birdman Sound

Birdman, affectionately referred to as the Bird by regulars, is one of the best curated record stores I’ve ever been too. By «curated» I mean that John, Mr. Birdman himself, chooses very carefully what he carries on his hallowed shelves. You won’t find the special edition RSD Radiohead release here, but if that is what you are looking for, save yourself the embarrassment and just do your shopping online like the other mindless music consumers. This is not a place to simply consume the hit of the day, it’s a place to appreciate, to discover and to expand your mind. John has pretty big ears, if you want to get deep into Jazz, Funk, Soul, Psych, Blues, Folk, Out-​Sounds, Private Press, Punk, Rawk or just plain Rock, come to the Bird and take a lesson in music appreciation.
In additions to new releases and reissues, the Bird also has a terrific selection of essential used vinyl in great condition, at prices that can’t be beat. You will not find mouldy old garage sale LPs here.
