I *LOVE* the beach anyway, but this local one in particular! It is a lot of fun, because there’s so much happening here, what with all the sand and swimming and volleyball nets and so on, not to mention a sweet place to sit down and kick back with a drink or 3 and a burger ont he patio with your friends. I will definitely come back, and bring friends and relatives too.
The boys absolutely loved the swim, and came out totally refreshed after a hot visit to Ottawa.

This is the best beach in Ottawa in my opinion.
The beach has a lot of sand, a nice food pavilion (Baja Burger Shack), a decent park attached to it with barbecues, pavilions, restrooms, outdoor shower to clean off, a lot of grass to play sports on, and rentals for beach volleyball nets.
The problem with the beach is how difficult it is to find parking and sewage leaks into the river regularly causing warnings every other day to not go swimming in the beach.
Seriously Ottawa? You need to fix this sewage issue!!! What’s the point of going to a beach if you can’t go into the water? This isn’t new. It’s been going on for close to 5 years I believe.
