Chatters Salon

I’m extremely heart broken. My hair dresser left on maternity leave and twice I’ve asked them for someone who knows curly hair. Twice my hair has not been done properly. I won’t be returning until Kayla comes back. I’m tired of paying money to have to come home and do my own hair again. :(

I needed to fix my hair because it was getting orange-​ish, I had made an appointment for a toner that would fix the orange tone in my hair but instead, the lady was honest and told me the toner would only last a couple days and that if I really wanted to fix it, i would need another treatment. She was really sweet and didn’t force me at all in making a decision right away. I am going next week for the actual appointment and for an eyebrow wax.
They have a large variety of hair products at low to high prices and the staff is very friendly. They even offer something to drink while you wait.
I’ll add on to my review after my appointment but i’m sure this place will be my regular! Well placed too so if after you needed to get something, it is close to almost EVERYTHING imaginable!

I’m so excited to be able to give this place an enthusiastic 5 stars! Yes, it’s a chain salon, but the experience I had here was so unbelievably great that I don’t even feel guilty about not going to an independent salon.
I ended up venturing here as I was already in the east end. I really needed to get my hair cut, but it was a Sunday, and we all know options are limited for stylists on Sundays. I did some searching and lo and behold, Chatters was open till 5 p.m. I was certain I wouldn’t be able to get something so last minute, but hurray! They had an opening for 3:45 with Courtney. Even over the phone the customer service was lovely.
If you haven’t been here before, it’s an interesting concept. When you walk in, it’s very similar to a giant Trade Secrets with beauty supplies and products, but when you walk back they have a beautiful salon with vaulted industrial ceilings. They had a little bench to sit and wait and the sweet staff member offered me tea or coffee.
Courtney was an absolute pleasure. She took the time to chat with me about my hair type, what I was looking for and what she thought would look best. She was so enthusiastic about it and did a FANTASTIC job. I haven’t been this satisfied with a hair cut in years. She also put a colour enhancing wash which made my «Jessica Rabbit» red pop without having to get an all over colour. An absolute delight.
My favourite part (other than the delightful Courtney!) was that there are sinks at the cutting stations instead of having to get your hair washed at one spot then hobble over with your towel and dripping hair to the styling chair. Brilliant!
Excited to go back here. They also use Redken products which I love and the store has great deals.
