I have been a tenant in a CLV Group building for over 8 years. I would not recommend anyone become a tenant with them mainly due to the severely bad attitudes of many of their employees. Tenants are not respected, things are left undone that sorely need to be done, while these employees sit around in the office gossiping about and insulting tenants. When tenants complain, instead of fixing the issues employees slander the tenants and make them feel very unwelcome. I say this honestly as this has happened to me. I have been told to my face that I will never have any work that I request done for me. To this date NONE of the necessary repairs that were listed on last year’s(2014) harassing annual apartment inspection have not been done. Some things are getting repaired more quickly than they were years ago but there are many issues such as cleanliness and unequal tenants rights(men have more rights than women). In my opinion an apartment building is a society and all of the tenants need to have the same rules and rights and need to respect each others rights. I believe it is part of any management company’s(I mean CLV) job to enforce the rules in the building in order to allow all tenants the peaceful enjoyment of their apartments. One specific example of a maintenance issue I have is what happened yesterday(2014). I waited for over 8 hours to have my toilet unblocked. When I called and left the message I clearly stated that I don’t have a phone and that I will be waiting for someone to come. The weekend repair guy came to this building to fix the water heater but couldn’t even bother to walk up three flights to my floor and check on me after having ignored my call for 8 hours. I had to call a 2nd time before he came, which meant I had to bother a second neighbour to use their phone. Then he splashed around in my toilet and sprayed the shit all over my walls. I was up till 3 am washing down my walls and my floors, because he carried the dripping snake down my hallway out my door, despite my giving him one of my own rags to prevent the dripping. Why CLV employees never come properly equipped for the task they are going to do I don’t understand. It took the real plumber 30 minutes to clear the blockage without splashing everything everywhere(and he brought his own rags to keep his snake from dripping). Thanks Jason.
