I was skeptical at first because it seemed as if the low price was too good to be true. However I have been a member at this location since it opened and I go when I want to and when it works with my schedule. All of the equipment is brand new and the facility is very clean. At first it seemed weird that they don’t have showers or that you have to bring your own water to drink — but after a few times you don’t even notice. What I really like is that you are not hassled by personal trainers walking around trying to «help» you — you are just left alone. What I wanted was a place where I could do some indoor cardio and then lift weights and then go home. They give you an access card and you can go any time you like and yes early in the evening it is busy — but never too busy that you can’t get on machines. I went with the $ 8.95 a month and committed for a year. After I liked it so much I got a membership for my 17 year old son. He goes whenever he wants to or we go together — super easy. We were both members of Goodlife for a few years and although I liked Goodlife I would get annoyed during the summer when I was paying $ 50 a month and if I was not going I was feeling like I was wasting money. Also there is more equipment at this fit4less than the Goodlife I went to so you can always do your workout and not wait for a machine or weights to be free. There is a good mix of people working out and so far everyone has been good. You have first timers starting out and trying stuff out and then some big dudes who have been doing this for a while working out there but I have not run into any issues at all. One time I left my phone and wallet in the change room and a guy ran after me to give it back. It feels like the people who go there just want to work out and get on with their day — not hang around an chit chat and that is my style.

I’v been looking for a gym for a while now because Goodlife only takes direct deposits. Now I don’t like the idea of someone taking money out of my account. So I thought cool! A better gym with better prices in my area. I was wrong! They as well only let you pay by giving them a direct deposit or void cheque unless you pay for a year. So if I pay for a year, my cash money is good. but! if I only pay for a month, my cash money’s no good to them! Lol sounds scammy to me. They are owned by Goodlife and I know a lot of people that have gotten screwed over by Goodlife. so why should they be any different.
