HUB Ottawa

I hosted an event at HUB Ottawa, and would absolutely have one there again! A great resource for people in Ottawa, HUB is a co-​working space, event venue, and education space. It’s located in a building on Bank, right across from 3 Brewers, and while it was a bit hard to find, I’m sure it’s super convenient for people who co-​work there.
The staff are wonderful and very helpful. I was able to set up for my event over an hour early, and they were quick to help me find cables and set up my presentation. The provide tables and chairs and were kind enough to let me use some of their glasses and pitchers (be sure to wash them up before you leave!).
The space itself features some artwork and has a very modern design. It’s not a huge space, but it works. They have photos of all their members proudly displayed on the wall, and the members I chatted with were wonderful Ottawa entrepreneurs. I think this would be a fantastic place to work. They also host educational events which are free for members and pretty inexpensive for non-​members.
My only gripe was the parking situation, though I suppose that’s to be expected downtown. It was partially my fault, as I should have asked where they recommend to park. There’s a parking garage across the street, and parking is free after 5, so it’s a good deal. The only problem for me was that I had a ton of stuff to lug to the event (banners, boxes, food), and had to make two trips.
Otherwise, love this place! Ottawa is lucky to have them here.
