Fast, hot food and the food was tasty. Medium poutine us enough if you are also having a taco. Eight flavours of Frank’s hot sauce to choose from. A little on the pricy side but worth it.

Had the Halibut. It was good but very small, especially when it cost $ 20 They have a pay 1st system that requires you tip before you get any service Which I never liked because I still believe a tip is for«GOOD» service and NOT a supplement to paying the restaurant’s payroll

I just had the Shrimp Taco with mango and coconut… OMG!!! Best. Taco. Ever!!! The shell was nice and soft. The slaw was fresh, had a nice crisp crunch to it and was the perfect thickness. The mango was flavourful and pieces were size appropriate. The sauces were creamy and smooth and rich in flavour and the perfect amount drizzled on so as not to flood the taco and drip everywhere. The shrimp. Oh the coconut shrimp. Cooked perfectly, not over cooked and burnt, nice golden colour. The coconut crust was crunchy and NOT greasy and the perfect amount of coating on the bite size shrimp. And the coconut flakes on top, added the perfect amount of sweetness and pop. Overall, a tropical fiesta for the eyes(excellent presentation for a ‘fast food’ joint), the nose(fresh, clean and yummy) and mouth(taste buds were salsa dancing all meal). I cannot wait to go back! Highly recommend this place.

I went here for dinner last night. It was pretty good for a fast food eatery. I had 2 tacos and fries($ 11) and a San Pellegrino($ 3). I had the«Famous Fish Taco» and the«Crispy Shrimp Taco.» I really liked the tacos, but in my opinion they really overdo it with the chipotle aioli. It made the taco way too rich and greasy. I mean the fish and shrimp are already battered and deep fried, I don’t need additional fat and grease! Next time I will ask them to hold the aioli. The tacos were also filled with shredded cabbage, cheddar, mozzarella and pico de Gallo. I liked the fish taco because you get a thick piece of fish so you can actually taste the fish. The shrimp are pretty small so all you really taste is batter. The fish was great, really flaky and soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. The fries were regular cut fries with the skins on. They were OK. I would prefer shoestring fries as they would be more crispy and less starchy. The way things work here is you order and pay at the cash. They ask you for your name. When your order is ready they call out your name and you come get your order and bring it to wherever you want to sit. Then you clean up after yourself. It’s pretty much a fast food joint, but the décor and atmosphere is nicer. Staff were nice. Washrooms were clean. The place is wheelchair accessible. There is free WiFi. The password is wifi@urban. Lots of free parking in the strip mall. It’s in the same strip mall as Dollarama, Rockin’ Johnny’s, and Popeye’s(the protein supplement store, not the fried chicken restaurant). So this location is Joey’s Urban’s first location in Ontario. Joey’s Urban belongs to the same company as Joey’s Seafood(formerly Joey’s Only — of which there were a few locations in Ottawa, but they have all closed down). They have nothing to do with JOEY Restaurant(at Lansdowne Park, at Yorkdale in Toronto, etc.). That’s a different chain altogether. I would come back.

My new favourite place for fish tacos! I used to like Moxie’s but these are far better. Make sure to ask for them to be tossed in Frank’s Red Hot sauce, it adds a nice zing to the flavour. 2 tacos with fries is a very filling lunch — I couldn’t quite finish the fries.

Came in for fish tacos. The flavour was good but it was pretty light on the fish. Also they went a little crazy with the cabbage and I had to take some of it off. These would have been a 5 star if there was more fish on the taco.

This place is great! The crispy shrimp taco is my personal favorite — and the fish tacos are also delish. Not a huge fan of the poutines though — the fries taste like they’re the frozen kind and there’s hardly any gravy or cheese curds. Needs more«stuff» and fresh-cut fries. I’ll stay away from the poutines — but keep going back for the tacos for sure! Friendly staff, quick service, nice and clean restaurant. Will keep going back!

Had the Fish Tacos and poutinized(added Poutine to my side of fries) with Buffalo Chicken. So many combinations to choose from. If you love Fish Tacos, you have to come try this place. It just opened. The poutines are really varied and unique.
