Still *the* best guitar store in town. (See my original review.) The owner is great. Honest, not pushy, knows her stuff. Blackhawk, the German Sheppard greeter is fantastic. (Call ahead if you don’t like dogs — or holler from the door — Blackhawk will be caged for your visit.)
Do not be fooled by the low key décor. You are going to this place for the high quality, knowledge and integrity of the owner. She focuses on Godin and related products — which has a great reputation as a Canadian guitar maker. Son has been extremely happy with his first Godin purchase — an inexpensive classical with beautiful sound for the price. (At least one more purchase is percolating, waiting for the right moment to happen — and we’ll get it from Metro.)
Great place for repairs and accessories, including pickups and amps. She’ll install them, does setups and repairs. Helps you analyze your needs to get best bang for your buck — wiill *not* try to over sell you, but will give you options to pick from.

I really can’t say anything better than Dawn’s review above. I’ve been going to Metro for guitars and lessons for more than eight years. Not only do I enjoy the lessons, but even more just hanging out there and learning about music from two extremely gifted musicians (although Danielle would never admit it). But her dog, Blackhawk, is the real star there. :)
