I found this place by accident while staying at Novotel Hotel across the street from Rideau mall.
I woke up thirsty, so I walked to the local corner store. On the way back I saw this place. Walked in, saw their incredible assortment of baked desserts, and got my wife some cookies and a chocolate coffee. She loved all of it.
I’ve come back a few times since.

Stopped in to grab a takeaway deep — dish turtle cookie which was served warm and gooey, it was delicious. My server was friendly and chatty.

This place is my kryptonite. Chocolate. Toll House Cookies that remind me of childhood. Lovely décor and don’t get me started about the yummy frozen yogurt!
The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a washroom that I witnessed they let anyone use, even if they’re not a customer (how civilized and humane).
About 2 weeks ago I had a brownie with a toll house cookie on top of it and it was gooey and delicious; my companion had frozen yogurt. This past week my hubby and I stopped in and I had the chocolate frozen yogurt and it was UNBELIEVABLE. As rich as ice cream easily.
One thing I would like to see are some sugar free and gluten free options.
Nestle Toll House Café is also a source of the best hot chocolate in the city if you’re reading this in season. –And I learned that they recently opened up another location in Westboro.

Stopped in here for a sweet treat and spend some time with an old friend. The café itself is clean and comfortable, there are pretty fireplaces, but they don’t really produce heat. Plenty of seating and some tables so a nice place to hang out.
Enjoyed the brownies and cookies – they were yummy and hit the spot. I would say there other places in town that offer better baked goods, but these were enjoyable and I’d get them again.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely a good experience with the service.

Sugar, da da da da da daah, awww, honey, honey…
Just dove in for a quick sugar fix and it was just OK. They’ve got pastries (made by corporate elves) and an automated coffee machine. Service was friendly and a good spot to hang out I’d you are a student — plenty of tables and free WiFi! I was just expecting something really tasty — but forgot that this was the corporate equivalent of an A&W. Not bad, but if you want real chocolate — try the chocolate shop in the market: Cacao 70. That place gets a 4 star rating from me!
