My friend and I stumbled upon Second Glance completely by accident as we were on our way somewhere else. I am so glad that we did because I really like this new store in Wellington West. It’s a little shop that is mostly consignment items but also sells new items. They not only have clothing and accessories but also home décor! The layout of the store is very nice with home décor, clothing and accessories all mixed together. It’s almost like you’re shopping in someone’s house. Everything is well organized and it doesn’t smell musty in there like some consignment stores do. The owner’s name is Paula and we had a nice chat with her while we were there. She is very sweet. Their items run the gamut from new trends to true vintage(there was a cute handbag there actually from the 1950s) with lots of different styles. I loved browsing the store and ended up buying this beautiful black mermaid shaped skirt(I don’t know when I’ll ever wear it but it was too gorgeous not to get it) and a resin bracelet. Second Glance is in the same building as La Tropiqua. In fact, it’s where La Tropiqua’s smoothie bar/café used to be. Don’t worry, the café still exists, it just moved upstairs to the same level where the yoga studios are. If you love shopping, I think you will love it here!
