Just visited this place today It’s in a newer plaza so the ambiance is newer than other places. It has a lot of seats many of them are bench seats however — but it’s absolutely packed. So if you are going for a quiet sit down this is the worst Starbucks for you. If you are going for a business meeting or to hook up with friends then it’s OK. My problems started when I tried ordering one of my favourite sandwiches — the Thai tuna wrap. The barista claimed they were discontinued. I don’t believe I was given accurate information. Then I asked for a some cream to be warmed up and they told they would charge me extra for that. They normally just hook you up. She did offer me warmed up 2% milk, which was nice of her. I

I haven’t been to any Starbucks in Ottawa that gets as much traffic as this one and they still manage to serve you faster than any other coffee spot(including Tim Hortons) at St. Laurent mall with using only 2 people on register. The Starbucks is located on the ground floor on the North side of the mall and has its own front door entrance separate from the mall entrance. You will find it if you drive around the mall.(not the food court upstairs) They have a pretty cozy seating arrangement that includes a long table near the back of the room. They offer free wifi as well. They remember my name and make it personal. Their treats and snacks seem to be much more interesting to look at compared to other Starbucks in the surrounding areas.

I checked it out once I saw it was open and it’s a definite improvement over the A&W that was in it’s spot. It’s not overly large but it’s big enough. It’s a nice, clean place and the service is the best at any Starbucks I’ve ever been to. Hopefully they’ll be able to keep it up.
