I did a review on this place for my course at St. Nicholas Adult High School, and portrayed Stuart’s Place based on their customer service. The food is amazing, but customer service can very at times. One of the girls who served me was pretty snappy and on her phone while in the front end. The place isn’t busy at all, and have so much free time. This place also has exceptional status with the mall and do not participate in being open for business, while the rest of the places are in Billings Bridge on holidays.

As an avid shawarma lover, I’ve tried many shawarmas in my day. I’ve had ones from The Garlic King himself! I would put garlic sauce in everything if I could. Today, I was sadly disappointed when I bought a combo from Stuarts Place. I actually thought it read Shawarma Place when I saw the sign at first. Shawarma Place is an excellent place downtown. I love it there! I only realized I was wrong while writing this review and it all makes sense. What makes sense, you say? Well, the underlying problem of inadequate shawarma experience. I bought a large chicken shawarma combo which included a drink and potatoes($ 12). The chicken shawarma was just okay. Not sure how to describe it but if you ever had a shawarma from 3 brothers, the garlic king, or shawarma place, you’ll notice something pretty epic. Like a holiday in your mouth. Maybe because the other places provided more garlic sauce or their size of shawarma was bigger or the way they seasoned the chicken or perhaps all of the above. Then, if I wasn’t super satisfied with the shawarma, the potatoes were absolutely the worse I’ve ever tasted. They were just cooked before being served to me but they weren’t cooked long enough. Also, the other places seasoned their potatoes and this place did not. After eating shawarmas, I usually leave feeling happy. Today, it was just«meh». Overall, I wouldn’t try this place again.

I love Lebanese food — I LOVE it! But, good Lebanese places seem to be scattered around the city and not that convenient(why isnt there a drive-thru shawarma place in town?). Anyhow, while shopping at Billings Bridge Mall, my wife and I spotted Stuarts Place in the food court. I know, it doesn’t sound all that Lebanese(is Stuart really an Arab name?) but the food is totally legit. They have all your favourites — falafel, beef or chicken shawarmas, shish taouk… they even have baklava for an after meal snack. I really love that it is in the food court and gives you a healthy food option for eating while shopping elsewhere.
