Dare I raise this joint a star? Yes. Yes, I will because I understand a two-star maverick rating on Unilocal — and this place is just a burger joint. My burger was fine — and to comment on the beef — all beef tastes weird to me outside USA which makes me think that the USA does something to its processed beef. Like extra additives or funky hormones or something. Hamburgers just taste different. My only complaint was that my fries were cold — but then again — it’s Canada — you eventually get used to the cold — hence Poutine — to warm your fries. The folks behind the counter were super friendly and that alone can raise a rating. So if you are looking for something fancy, go next door to Rideau — but are just looking for burger joint — Harvey’s is fine. Believe me — I’ve had far, far worse…

Came by for a quick bite before checking in. Tip: If you’re boarding for an International flight, once you check in, you have to immediately go through customs/immigrations! Ordered the Angus burger and it was okay. The bun was too dry and the burger patty had an odd consistency. …at least I was no longer hungry?!? The onion rings were definitely frozen, not fresh, and the oil quality wasn’t too good. At least you can customize your toppings?!?

Average overall but particularly disappointing beef patties, even the Great Canadian. Poutine was passable but nothing special. Grilled Chicken sandwich was too dry and processed. It’s a cheap way to eat at the airport but that’s not the point. Pray there’s something better open and go there instead. Memories of the Rideau Restaurant(next door) from 3 years ago are much more favourable, although you can’t take your luggage trolley in there with you. Their diners looked a lot happier.
