Bagels are everywhere, but finding a really good bagel is a whole other matter. There are not a lot of places in Ottawa where you can find a wood burning oven making homemade bagels. The Bagel Place is one of them. Formerly known as Dover bagels, the store was sold and the name changed with it. The operation is pretty much the same though. They have an assortment of bagels that are made very morning. Along with bagels they have other treats like assorted cream cheeses and desserts. The store itself is located in a pretty unexceptional strip mall in Nepean, not for from the Greenbank police detachment. If you’re ever in the area getting a ticket taken care of, stop by here on the way home.
