Never had a bad meal at kettles. Highly recommend this restaurant. Friendly service and delicious food. Good portions.

Their homemade asparagus soup and bread pudding was amazing! I would highly recommend this place if you need some comfort food.

Pretty large menu choice — but it all looked so good. I ordered the pork schnitzel with mash potato, while my brother got the burger and onion rings. Dessert was the apple crisp and it was all pretty tasty. Everything was extremely well priced and the servings were quite large. It was quite busy when we were there so service was a little slow, but the staff was very friendly and knew to check in constantly to let us know how things were progressing!

nothing had salt or pepper on it! with that outta the way, there were a number of things we were impressed with: –the young pretty waitress handling the Canada Day rush with such grace –the food was brought to our table fresh and very quickly –the chilli was so yummy with big chunks of meat –the schnitzel was also decent everything else was okay. will have to return to try the homemade pies!

2.5* really. I stopped in at Kettle’s on my way back from the Bruce Peninsula and it seemed to be exactly what we were looking for. A nice, almost home-style meal after hours of travelling. I ended up getting their steak which is on «special» on Sundays. This special was literally $ 0.50 off the regular price but when the regular price is $ 19.99 for steak and 3 shrimp that’s not bad at all. The price probably should’ve been my warning though. The steak itself was covered in way too much of some sort of steak spice, had a thick layer of fat around it(and I love me some steak fat but this was a bit much even for me) and was served with tired frozen vegetables(the type where sliced carrots have those crimped wedges in them). I have to say the bean salad we were served to start was really, really good. I also got an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie on the way out that I didn’t eat until I got home to Toronto and immediately wished I had purchased 6 more. Service was also very quick and friendly. And the meal did taste like«home cooking» in a way. Just bad home cooking from someone who is a bad cook but is trying to cook a nice meal.

I’ve been to Kettles many times and never have I been disappointed! the staff are great and the menu selection is extensive! Its a place that’s always busy and filled with locals like myself, and many times there is a line up for tables. But don’t let that put you off! It’s well worth the wait! Their ribs are to die for, the burgers are thick and hand made, and their fries are so good and plentiful! I’ve tried many items from the menu and am never disappointed! The portion sizes are amazing, considering the reasonable prices, and I have never left without being totally full! But if you leave room for dessert, try one of their gorgeous handmade pies! You can even order a whole one to take home! I love Kettles and highly recommend it it you’re in the area! It’s worth the drive to Chatsworth!

Very pretty, rustic and clean. Food was very homely and delicious. Waiters were great too! On highway 10 outside the Orangeville area, on the way to Tobomory.

A nice spot for lunch on my way to Tobermory… The service was friendly, I enjoyed my fish. My fiancée especially enjoyed her hamburger. I tried it, I thought it was ok, maybe there wasn’t enough cheese for me.

Awesome food especially the burger. When I went, had to wait a while to be seated but it was so worth waiting for.

Stopped by based on the reviews. Ordered Porkchops, chicken breast, oktoberfest sausage and fried chicken. If this is homestyle cooking than it must be a household with horrible cooks. Homefries were salty beyond belief. Sauages the same. And I was excited to try the pie every one was raving about but the dough was raw and too thick. I don’t know what kind of home these people grewup in but in my house we wouldn’t call these garbage cooking

You always hear the phrase«mouth watering pies» and assume that it’s just some kind of illustrative device or marketing speak. Then you come here and realize that it’s just the honest truth. This is the real deal. Friendly service. Massive portions. Incredible value.

My parents love this place. It’s rustic, home-cooked food with large portions at a reasonable price point. Nothing amazing, nothing creative, just solid food. It’s always busy, especially during beach traffic season.

After gassing up at a nearby gas station, I used the Unilocal app to see if there were any restaurants reviewed nearby. I read Elaine’s review and continued up the road to Kettle’s. We were not disappointed! Back home cooking that included a large menu of just pies, bonus! I had the Salisbury steak which was scrumptious and really hit the spot after the highway along with a coconut cream pie for dessert. There was a long wait at the door with locals clamouring for a comfy seat in the roomy space. I knew that was a good sign. While waiting I was marvelling at the takeout counter doing a brisk business and drooled over the large display counter with ice cream and pies. A specialty seemed to be pies that were made there and then could be heated at home to have that home made goodness. If you are driving this route, definitely check out Kettle’s, you can’t go wrong!

I am. always skeptical about trying new places… it was good. This place gets a thumbs up for home made food not frozen(what i ate anyway, don’t know about the entire menu). I had a hot turkey sandwich and the wife had the pork schnitzel… you get a very big portion of food and the french fries are above average. The food is good for the money. I would go back.

As soon as we enter Kettle’s, the simple, rustic interior made you feel right at home. We were seated at a booth by our very friendly server who was quick and very attentive throughout our entire meal. The menu has plenty of offerings mostly which are homemade; choices varying from grilled cheese sandwiches, chicken burgers, chili, wraps and pies. I ordered the corn beef on rye with a side of poutine, it was delicious. I finished my meal sharing a chocolate cream pie and apple crisp with ice cream. The pies are a must as they are all homemade and offer many flavors to please any palate. Prices were great, on average a sandwich with a side and a dessert averages around $ 15 including tax and tip. Overall, this is a must visit if you are within the vicinity.

A gem in the middle of HWY6⁄10. Nathan and I grumbled into this place, hungover, tired, coming off 2 hours of driving after a big, miserable day. The previous 15 minutes were full of him looking for a restaurants while I tried not to veer into oncoming traffic. We were both feeling completely crappy. When you step in, you’re greeted by a takeout area with about a dozen pies, and a blackboard telling you the day’s special. That day it was a full turkey dinner with all the fixins’ for $ 11.99. Seriously. Wow. We settled into our booth(surrounded by the area’s senior citizens, having late lunch/early dinner at 3pm) and ordered: chicken club wrap for him, fried chicken plate for me. I was completely blown away. The chicken was perfectly crispy, tender on the inside and not greasy at all. His chicken wrap was gigantic, with the breaded chicken inside obviously home-made, not frozen. It was an oasis in a land of crappy take out and gross roadside restaurants. If I’m ever driving up to Owen Sound again, I will definitely stop in here.
