I have the coolest dentist in the world. His name is Richard Ehrlich and he has been looking after my family’s dental work for the last 15 years. Dr. Ehrlich runs his practice out of an old heritage building in Palgrave, Ontario. The building at one time was the old Palgrave Hotel and Richard restored it when he took it over in 1999. Richard and his wife, the lovely Barb, are eco-enthusiasts who are committed both at home and work to being as green friendly as they can be. The office is run on Bullfrog power and that is just for starters. He’s got rain barrels around the property, a waterless garden, and a special water filtration system. The waiting room is like sitting in someone’s living room, with the fireplace and the comfy chairs. They also provide herbal tea for you while you wait. My fav thing about the office is that Richard brings his two dogs, Mocha & Toblerone(both chocolate Labs… go figure), to office every day. Richard doesn’t drive to work. He either runs, bikes or cross country skis it into his eco-friendly office. Dr. Ehrlich received an Environmentalist of the Year Award in Caledon and is reponsible for creating the battery recycling program, all this and he’s a great dentist. For fun Richard gave me a tattooth on my one of my molars a year ago! How cool is that? I’ve put up the picture of the Peace Sign on my right molar. It is so rare that you meet a dentist who is just so personal and so kind. The Elm Tree Clinic provides my organization with special dental kits for kids who are marginalized and living in poverty. Too boot, Richard does that Dentists without Borders thingy and goes to far off places to do dental work on people who would never be able to have treatment. Good guy. Good dentist. The staff are also phenomenal!
