Flour Confections

Hands down my favourite cake decorating supply store in the GTA. Well stocked with every tool under the sun, from colours, to molds and cutters, flower making equipment, fondant and packaging. I could honestly spend hours in this well laid out little store exploring all the tools. Only complaint is that I always spend past my budget on things I didn’t know I needed til I got there. Friendly, knowledgable staff who are happy to help you find things. I am a cake decorator by profession, and just LOVE this gem of a shop!

This place is a baker’s dream. If you love to bake & in the area… definitely worth checking out! I’m a big fan of the fondant at Flour Confections (already bought 2 tubs in the last month… very affordable!). What I like is it doesn’t taste like playdoh but sweet, soft & light… unlike the Wilton brand. Wilton is only good for things u want to dry superfast or u might not want ur friends to eat cuz honestly… the taste sucks!
The only thing I won’t use flour confections fondant for… would prob be making figurines unless you put a lot of gum paste w/​it. I found the fondant to be very soft & pliable but its certainly easy to use/​roll. I put in the wilton coloring w/​no probs and was able to dye the fondant w/​no probs. Please remember to cover the lid of ur fondant or it will go hard/​dry overtime :)
A lot of Bakeries around the GTA also order fondant from Flour Confections.
I haven’t gone to the store yet but ordered things online on two occasions. I was super impressed w/​how efficient they are as I was able to get the product in 1 – 2 days via Canada Post Expedited. Just in time for my cake class!
They also have lots of baking tools sold online & in the store plus offer baking classes.
