I went to the Pier 1 in Pitt Meadows to buy a table I had seen and when I asked if there was any chance it would be going on sale I was told no but if I signed up for emails I could get 10% off. I said I guess is could but then I was told I would have to wait for the coupon to arrive before I could purchase the table. When I asked if this was necessary I was told yes by a grumpy manager. After writing to the company I received a reply that reiterated their policy and said they wanted shopping to be ‘fun’ in Pier 1. Define fun please? Going home and waiting a couple of days for a coupon, or shopping at another store. Well I bought my table somewhere else and I won’t be going into that store again.
