Second visit to Piazza Romana(last one was 15 years ago, on a date, this time with my wife for our anniversary) and, while we were disappointed with the first service contact, we quickly realized the person was a busboy and likely not in a position to answer our question. The servers were better, thankfully. My review will resemble my experience: simple. The food was very good, and the prices were very affordable, it seemed. We both left happy, which is nice for an anniversary dinner. ;)

We took my teen-aged nephew to dinner here, and it was a solid meal. We shared a calamari appetizer, which was light and crispy(it’s so easy for calamari to be greasy… this wasn’t.) We also had the cantaloupe and prosciutto, which was ok but if we hadn’t ordered it, we wouldn’t have missed anything. I had the Caesar salad and the gnocchi with pesto. Both were tasty. The room is uncluttered without being sterile, and was very comfortable. The only odd thing was that I ordered iced tea and was told they didn’t have it. I asked if they had ice, and was told they did. I asked if they had tea, and was told they did. I wasn’t trying to be snarky, I just wanted iced tea. Anyway, I had water and was fine, but it seemed weird. It was a fine meal overall.
