I love this store so much. Incredibly colourful, beautiful displays and their wares are stylish and lovely — albeit a little expensive. They have regular sales and you can sign up for regular coupons on top of that, so it helps. I can’t honestly say that I buy here regularly, just because of the price, but I do wander around regularly and have picked up many smaller items over the years. This store, like all Pier 1 stores, makes me feel really good just being there. I’ve never had an issue with staff and really enjoy my visits. If only I could afford to redecorate every year!

I love the stuff here especially the home décor but its pricey, you can find the same things at home sense or winners for less. I’ve been in this location on several occasion and I find the staff really nice and helpful but not too pushy.

I’m new to Vancouver and was so excited to see that there was a Pier 1 just like back home! I went to purchase home decorations since we had absolutely nothing. I approached one of the sales associates at the register and told her I’d like her help in decorating my hall bathroom in a «beach» them. I told her I wanted it to be colorful since the color of the bathroom was neutral. I also told her what I didn’t want. So she and two other associates combed the store and talked about what to put together. It’s a beach theme, there was only one small stand that had beach them items. I didn’t think it was a hard request and them working there I thought at least one could put something together within minutes. Needless to say, I walked out with nothing. Yesterday I went on the Canadian Pier 1 website looking for an entry table. Found exactly what I needed and it’s a «new» item on sale. So I went in, found it and told the associates it was on sale online. She said I must have been on the USA website. No, I said. Then she went on telling me that the Canadian website is really not up and it must have kicked me to the USA site. I told her that I’d like yo purchase it for the sale price and test Pier 1 should honor that sale price. She said she couldn’t. I didn’t think it was really my problem that the Canadian site kicked me to the USA site. Then the associate said that the floor model was the last one. I asked her if she can discount it since it was a floor model. Ten minutes later after she and another associate talked the answer came back no. I don’t understand why these sales associates need to talk or try to figure out how yo decorate together. Maybe there’s too many associates at one time and nit enough customers? I don’t know. All I know is that I don’t be going back. These sales associates are clueless.

Absolutely terrible experience here with the«manager». I come here for all my home décor and furniture and realized how thankful I should be for never having met the manager. The story begins when I came in today to exchange a defective item and no one was available to help. When I approached her, the manager told me to ‘figure it out for myself’ and was unwilling to exchange my item when it was clearly open box and defective and I provided my receipt. She then went back to her customer and made faces while laughing at me for my legitimate request. All this time I was in shock at the way I was being treated when all did was walk in, wait for someone to assist me, provide a receipt and ask for an exchange. It’s not even a refund! I was telling myself that someone is just having a bad day and that it would be best to avoid dealing with her further. So I browsed around and noticed a headboard that I wanted to purchase in twin size. I just wanted to ask someone if they had it in stock(the one on display was QS). I decided to approach another associate who was idle and wrapping the display for help. She told me to give her a minute and she’ll help me at the back. So there I waited for at least 10 minutes for someone to come help when I spotted her helping a customer pick out wrapping paper… the very same customer that the manager was helping. Since she was next to me I asked her about the headboard’s availability. To which, low and behold, the customer she’s helping YELLS at me «she can’t answer your question, she’s busy!» Appalled, I looked to the rep to which she responded«the manager will be with you». Lord have mercy. I am still in a shocked and confused state as I try to reason what I experienced today. But nothing makes sense! There is absolutely no excuse for a sales rep, let alone a manager, to violate the very essential, the very basics of customer service. One bad(horrendous) experience really ruins everything this store has meant to me in the past. Rest assured this business has kicked out one of its loyal customers and I will be sure to warn friends and family against visiting this establishment.
